These yum ice creams were once £1 per box of 6 many moons ago, just like Magnums, even so £1.69 for 6 is excellent...... Mmmmm. Almond is best....8):sunglasses:

One thing I've noticed is a lot of these continental-sounding brands that Lidl sell are owned by them.

Not tried Lidl ice cream but judging by the comments I have been missing out. Will get some today, thanks OP and those who commented.

Are these just standard Ice Cream, or are they Gelato?
I'm guessing ice cream, but the name made me wonder. Gelato is normally more expesive, making it even more of a bargain!
These are superb.Just as nice as Magnum. Been buying them for years. Voted "HOT".

Just a few points: This is available from Thursday, and the ones in your picture there aren't in this offer, just the ones you mentioned in your post (Classic, Choc. crisp and white choc./strawberry). The almond ones are a different line.
Dunno if someone wants to change the picture...
EDIT: Or rather, they're not advertised as being in the offer, whether they are or not remains to be seen until Thursday. I'd expect they won't be, however.
Wait, hang on, people actually think the "brands" sold at Lidl are real brands? If it's not a national brand (Pepsi, Walkers, etc.) then it's Lidl's own brand, all these Gelatelli, Winarom, Cimarosa, Cien things are just fronts for Lidl's own make products.
There isn't a factory out there with a Gelatelli logo on the side pumping out Magnum knock-offs. There's a factory with Lidl on the side pumping out Gelatelli, etc.

No need to get defensive. I like Lidl, I just assumed they imported brand names on the grey market, but much of it appears to be own-label products - they are just more subtle compared to other supermarkets.

Does anyone know where Gellatelli icecream is made. Do you have the name or contact of the factory. I heard that they are made in Germenay....I cannot find anything on the label.....thanks.

Gelato is like ice-cream, but lower in fat..
