Not without adapters which would not give you true surround sound.
These are PC speakers so use three 3.5mm connections, thus not easily plugged into a TV or most laptops.
Good price though, hot deal.

What are you on about? Most desktop sound cards don't have optical outputs. Also I'd say most desktop motherboards don't have onboard audio with an optical output. Therefore your statement is odd. Yes, you can't use these out-the-box with a 360 or PS3, but they are not intended for that primarily. They're for a PC with a standard, non high-end sound card. Also, if you're concerned about the quality of analogue inputs vs optical, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be buying a set of £50 speakers in the first place...

These aren't great speakers; they may seem like a steal but the satellites sound like they cost pence to make and rely on the subwoofer to 'flesh them out'. I think they might even be a downgrade on the older X540, which I haven't owned so I can't say, but those have two drivers per satellite for the same price.
Ps. the subwoofer is tinee.

Although you can get an external 5.1 USB soundcard for a laptop for around £10. That combined with these speakers would be pretty nice. The soundcard could be left permanently attached to the speakers cables and plugged in when required.

Not sure if they are out of stock again but I bought them but have changed my mind. PM me if your intereseted.
Only problem is I've taken them out their packaging etc because i was excited when they arrived but obviously they are still in as brand new condition lol. I didnt throw the box away or anything so I can package them back up as best I can.
