Since our microwave has broken down I have been shopping around for a new one, I thought his looked perfect as it has the grill in it. As it has a 3 yr warranty included i thought it was a good buy.
If anyone can find the same thing or similar cheaper please let me know before i go and get this!!

cold...ive seen better quality for the same price elsewhere - also, Lidl offers are notoriously difficult to get hold of

I'd like to know where. I've also looked around as I too need a new one. This deal is clearly £50 cheaper than the next best, and a 3 year warranty

many cheap microwaves heat the plate more than the food, or heat unevenly. I have a cheap stainless steel delonghi for around £60 and this was really poor, heated plates more than the food. Now I have a sharp r27 stma - tested by which magazine and it is fantastic at heating the food evenly, quickly and thoroughly.
Is this any good in these areas

Consider the way a microwave oven works, I'd say that your issue is more to do with the plates you're using

got one from Ashton under Lyne , accidentally picked up the white one instead of the silver. But still happy with it and bargain for £40 with 3 year warranty

TBH i just wanted people to get good value for money by getting this rather than one somewhere else, the 3 yr warranty makes it worthwhile

A microwave doesn't know the difference between the food and the plate - the only reason for the plate getting hotter is it is absorbing more microwaves than the food.

Bought one last Thursday. The 'summer madness sale' started this Thursday 25th.
Had to replace an old (very, very old) 27L 1000W Proline model.
And this one's a 20L capacity micro with grill:
+ Has a delay function - so can micro or 'roast' (combi micro/grill setting) something an hour or so later , when needed.
- A lot shorter in height than the ultra large family size micro I've been used to (naturally).:smirk:
Overall still a good buy! If it goes wrong, Lidl will send out a replacement without extra cost to me - nice!

I've got this microwave, bought it a few months ago for £49.99 and it's pretty good (it's a microwave!)
I couldn't really find another microwave at this price with a grill, the three year guarantee is the clincher.

The price of this is creeping up by £5 each year now.3 year warranty is very good.
Got one from Lidl for £29.99 a couple of years back and it's worked well.

I Must say.. as for the 3 Years Warrenty... its more like get your money back if it brakes down warrenty.. I have bought a lot of stuff from LIDL & ALDI and on 2 occasions the Item became faulty and when I took it back to the shop, as usual they do not stock the item.. you get a full refund... which was kinda crap as I liked the product and would have liked a replacement...

If you ring up customer services on the number in the book that comes with it they will send you a new one by courier.

I doubt it as I'm using the same plates in the sharp - i suspect that the frequency of the magnetron in the delonghi (which is just rebadged tat) is out and so heats the plates rather than the food. sometimes that plates are so hot, i can't even pick the up but the food is luke warm.
I went to buy this at my local as a spare but they were OOS.:disappointed:

had one and it broke down within a few weeks.Replacement failed even quicker. Shame because it was a good spec for the price and it performed well - right up until it stopped working. Couldn't recommend the product but, maybe I was just unlucky. Still, Lidl refunded my money without a quibble.

I looked in all 3 stores in Reading, no luck :disappointed: and the staff, well, I'm not even sure they knew what store they were in

we purchased this 6 months ago, today whilst my wife was upstairs she heard a noise and smelt burning when she came down she found it had started itself. she pressed the cancel button and it stopped however 5 minutes later it started again, it had set a time of 78 minutes. lucky she was home otherwise we could have been burnt out of house and home
