Flights are with Easyjet from London Gatwick. http://www.easyjet.com

This won't be suitable for everyone. October weather in Zante is in the mid - 20's so warm enough.
Gorgeous location wish it was for 2 adults from east mids airport !!

so its not £151 because the flights are £409.....
tappy to brendanb581
8 Aug 11#8
The £151.75 is per person based on a family of 4. So £607 in total. Not bad for an 18 night holiday for 4 people!
Working mum to brendanb581
8 Aug 11#10
Agreed, if the hotel price is based on 4 sharing then (4x) £409 should be added to the offer title.
Shame, if it was £151, I wouldv'e taken the kids out of school for this holiday :disappointed:

stayed there this year and its lovely but very very quiet most evenings i had to find some one to serve me a beer. and the entertainment stopped very early as no one was there.
A lot of people stayed in there own rooms and cooked them selves.
Very nice and clean and tidy and 4 pools right on the sea front but greece is on its knees.
Only has one cash point near by which is quite often out of money and most places dont take cards as they need cash to fiddle the tax hence why greece is on its knees.
Book if you want some where quiet but not if you expect any night life. we was in bed by 10.30 most nights lol as was everyone else.
ps maids came in every single day and cleaned. Properly! mopped and dusted etc etc.

Huh, you really think it would be £151 in total for flights and accomodation for 4 people?
secretwoman123
8 Aug 11#13
read the op, the £151 is per person for lights and hotel
hotel price for the 4 is £198
flights for the 4 is £409 add them both and divide by 4 equals how much per person

Just wondering who takes 18 day holidays.
cibarious to jut1972
8 Aug 11#27
I do !! Yes, really or 16, 17 etc as my wife and I can be flexible in our holidays and a day or two extra can make a worthwhile cost difference as I believe this holiday proves.
An example from real life. I've been looking at an all-inclusive to Corfu with flights for the two of us for 14 nights and discovered 1 extra night would add £30pp; 2 extra nights would add £22.50pp per night or we could add 3 nights for £17.66pp per night. Result is a 17 night holiday for a very reasonable additional cost.

especially in october when resorts like these become ghost towns and the weather starts getting chilly (average for the month is 16-20 degrees with 7 days of rain).

Not been to hotel but to alykanas and alykes, going this year aswell.
Very nice family resort, a few lively bars in alykes but really aimed at families.
As for cash machines there are 2 in alykanas next to letsos and on the corner of the beach road in the resort, and a machine in alykes at the bank. I always use my card to pull cash and never had a problem!
I would venture out of the hotel anyway...in 11 years going twice a year I have always done self catering and always eaten out..yes prices have gone up, but so has everywhere else!

Agreed the TOTAL FULL price should be in the OP at the goto button, VERY misleading!
Its like putting iphone 4 for £35......yes but £35x24months = £840
I really enjoyed Zante. The people were very welcoming. The worst thing about it was that the rep kept on about this St. Dennis person, and I had no idea who she was on about. I'd read about a few bits before we left, and studied some basic phrases, and didn't see anything about a St. Dennis. Well, it turned out that it was the lazy, ignorant Brits butchering the actual St. Dionysis. How disrespectful. Anyway, rant over - Zante is lovely.

Sorry, take it back. I have now booked the holiday. Cost was slightly more as I am taking three children so worked out at £186 pp. However, we do get two rooms instead of one.
Voted hot !! :sunglasses:
Btw I nabbed 5 of the remaining 7 seats for the return date.

How is it misleading? Holidays prices are advertised on a per person basis. It makes sense that this deal is the same to make the savings obvious.
If people bothered to read the initial post, the price of the holiday would be clear.
Chris is doing everyone a favour by posting these deals on here. He's helped hundreds of people find cheap holidays. Why do people have to moan about the format they get posted in? Just appreciate that he bothers to post at all.

We stayed at the Alykanas Beach next door to this one, and it is literally right on the beach, the sea here is amazing, clear calm waters and is shallow for a long way out, one of the best beaches we have ever been to, the resort is really nice as well with good tavernas and restaurants, but it was fairly quiet when we went in September, and I would think it would be even quieter in October, which is relaxing but could be boring if you are looking for something more lively.

Used to live in Zante and work as a Rep for Thomson. The weather in October changes quite a bit from May through September which is lovely. Can be quite changeable and a LOT of the shops/tavernas etc will be closing/ have closed already .. Be warned , it will probably be overcast and I 'm dont recall it feeling 20 C...STILL A GREAT PLACE THOUGH

Bear in mind as well that if you booked two weeks' leave before a Public Holiday, you'd be looking at one weekend, two whole weeks, and then the Public Holiday. You'd have 17 days off while only taking ten days' (two weeks for most people) leave, so it's not that tough.

To be honest if you get 'misled' by thinking you can get a holiday for £151 for 4-8 people in total, I'm surprised you even know how to use a keyboard and mouse.

Just came back from here on Friday after 2 weeks. Great place for the kids with a kids club.
Because of the family nature of the place everyone does seem to go out very early, but there are plenty of other people around the rest of the resort, October will be very quiet tho, many tavernas and bars will be closed for the season, but the remaining ones will offer good discounts.
A few points to note;
There was a 2 week taxi strike whilst we were there.
There is only one cashpoint machine in Alykanas now - the one at Letsos has been removed. The remaining machine in Alykanas was out of order for part of the holiday as was the machine at Montes in Alykes.
A great place to go, October won't be as warm, there will be rain and it will be cooler in the evenings - so maybe take a jumper.
Great deal.
