Hi guys this is my first post so go easy lol. Morrisons are currently selling 50 litre bags of J.Arthur Bower's Bark chips for £2 a bag. Have had a look to see if this deal has been previously posted but can't see it. So £12 will get you 300 litres, which works out cheaper than the wickes deals previously posted, its the cheapest i've found so far. Most local stores have this in stock i know Walsall, Willenhall and Wellington(telford) stores all have this at the moment but hurry guys coz this is a when its gone kind of deal. The pic link i've found is for the 100 litre bag but packaging is the same as what's in store

Fantastic. I am in the middle of doing my Garden and started this two weeks ago by putting down new BARK.
Sadly every time i goto my Local Whickes to get more Bark, they are sold out and still await a Delivery. 2 Weeks later and still not got any. grrrrrrrr
I may be popping down to my Local Morrison's today then

I have no problems with cats but find the birds like to scratch in there looking for worms and bugs and spread it all over the lawn.

Lol yes unfortunately cats love it!!! However you can buy a product called get off/ scent off from many of the pound shops and Home bargains. Look through previous posts i'm sure it'll be on here. For those of you who have managed to get yourselves some bark you may of noticed it's a bit whiffy (i've not found any bark that doesn't pong yet!!) so to combat the smell and the cats from using your bark as their loo i'd recommend buying a couple of bottles of this smells lovely :thumbsup:

Got some from the Catcliffe store...they had a pallet load near the door....10% staff discount = £1.80 a bag.

Cats - we like all bits that can easily be moved with our paws! Bark, freshly dug soil, and generally anything that we can .... ;-)

If the Wednesbury store doesn't have any and i'd ring and check 1st try both the Willenhall or Bescot walsall store they both had plenty yesterday but it has been flying out.
For those of you who mentioned getting some next weekend i very much doubt they will have it in stock by then it's one of those when it's gone it's gone kind of deals.
And to who asked about coverage it really depends on how deep you want it and the area size.

Well it's decorative, so if you want a low maintenance garden this is the answer. Just cover over the area you want to with membrane then cover with bark. Also good for putting round plants to keep weeds down. You still need soil for the plants tho LOL

Just in case Morrisons have sold out, I saw 40ltre bags in B & M the other day for £1.99. I was wondering myself how much coverage you get out of a bag.

Well the 50L bag says that it'll cover a 1.4m² at 5cm thick. I never really pay that much attention i just top mine up every year :smiley:
