Brilliantly, especially for those midweek evening games. Alas I've broken the zip on mine so am trying to get it repaired but a solid investment for what I need it for.

Try sitting in a draughty area of a football stadium on a cold winters night with the snow blowing in. Over the years this will work out very cheap and save me freezing. Worth every penny.
If the closest you get to the cold is reaching for the milk on the doorstep then this isn't for you, for those that venture to cold places it's a bargain. Some don't seem to grasp this simple concept.

anyone know of any deals for the rain jackets with detachable fleece on the inside? berghaus ones are fine too...?
i looked in blacks yesterday and they were about £200/£250 dont really wanna spend that much
I've just ordered it - use the code 'jacket20' for 20% off. I got it for £119 delivered. Probably should post it as a deal (I think it is good anyway). Almost bought it instore last weekend but glad I didn't as I wouldn't have got 20% off.

LOL at the poor person who has no clue about how much a quality item like this costs. Sometimes I wonder what someone like you actually fills your Wardrobe with? I'm guessing Primart's best. Do you never treat yourself to a much needed quality item? Maybe not this jacket but surely there must be something?

Absolute bargain for the warmest jackets I have ever worn.
Agree with Davelfc, sitting by the side of the pitch covering a football match these are fabulous.
I've got two - bought a replacement for one I "lost" until missus remembered she had put it it the loft.

These are really nice jackets and a bargain at the price.
But I dont really need an all weather artic jacket like this, I got an Abercrombie parka which is stupid warm its actually hard to wear in this country as comfortable and nice as it is.

I have a McMurdo jacket and they are fantastic but they are definitely not small fitting. I also have the North Nuptse jacket (which is a puffa jacket) and the large fits me perfectly. I am well over 6ft and the medium McMurdo is still quite roomy. I also agree that it has to be really cold before I will wear mine. I could wear a t-shirt under mine and still be really toasty. I liked the look of the Shackleton one but I dithered and they only have large sizes now, so it looks like I missed out.

Top quality gear. I have a high end north face ski jacket. Its paper thin, weighs nothing and is good for -30 degrees with only a t shirt underneath.
I have done high altitude in Austira with it in winter 1800 metres in terrible conditions In a blizzard I was opening the vents as I was getting too hot !
If you dont understand what you are talking about - dont comment at all.
You just embarss yourself and confuse people looking for a good deal. This is an excellent jacket at bargain price.

this is quality gear but unfortunately here in Liverpool every scum bag seems to wear this gear and I would rather be cold .
Every time someone walks in to our shop after tying their Staffordshire Bull terrier or Japanese fighting dog to a lampost and wearing North Face sadly 99% of the time they are dodgy characters whom have no manners and don't work but yet can afford £200 jackets and to eat out all the time.
I don't know if its like this in all the other major cities yet but is sure is here . It's good in a way though because as soon as we spot one we keep an eye on the cameras etc , its almost like wearing one of those prison suits with the arrows on them !
I imagine there are law abiding country folk and hill climbing , camping types who buy this gear for practical reasons and I'm totally cool with that but if you ever come into the inner cities be prepared to get a pull from the plod.
