Hot Deal. They're not the best drill on earth, but for under £5.00 you can't go wrong.
I bought two last year when they were marked down from £14.99, to £9.99, and gave one away. Comes with selection of drill bits, screwdriver bits & adapter, charger, and plastic carry case.
Looked on-line, but couldn't see it so maybe in-store only. Plenty at Shrewsbury store.
good deal for very basic deal.
if your just use it every now and then is a great bargain

does this have variable speed control? I.E. can it also be used as an electric screwdriver?

Bargain. Tempting to take the cells out the the battery (usually mini C size nicads) and stick them in my old bosch thats fine but worn out batteries. Probably lower capacity here but a steal.

They also do an 18V hammer version for a tenner.

Is there a barcode number on the box so that i can call up and check if they have one in stock.
Is there even any point? Would any even be in stock by now? £5 is a great deal.

I've bought one for my wife and children to use, so they don't have to go near my Bosch Blue drills. For £5 it's well worth it. I'd be tempted to get a second, just so that there's a spare battery. I'd say that, for the price, it seems reasonable quality and is perfectly good enough for light use around the home.

i think the draper for 9.99 is abargain = 1 hour charge.
This one takes ages to charge i think?, or at least my one is still charging after 3/5 hours.
Must admit tho for a £5 it good, but I think £10 deal must be better for the long run

Be careful with cheap cordless drills. The batteries are usually very poor and will not hold much of a charge. BEWARE!!!

Just tried it and guess what, it terrible (for me at least), mines going back tomorrow. Struggling with even the basic of jobs. Speed is like a screwdriver speed. Drilling struggles badly. Still good find for £5 i suppose but just not for me. Just thought i'd update you guys

If you are buying this thinking it'll do anything other than stick a screw in a wall you need a reality check.

You are correct here. However it is better than I expected. If you just want something to use as an electric screwdriver and put pictures on the wall you could do a lot worse.

Due , If I was building a house, top end gear all the way. DIY a few pictures and some ikea furniture then £5.00 all the way.
I bought the draper because of the 1hr fast charge. At least then you can forget about it till you need it

Having charged it up and tried it out, I'd have to agree, it's not suitable for anything at all demanding. It struggled to drill a hole in a piece of wood. Fortunately, I might one as a toy for the children and for that it is fine, especially at the price. They'll love 'working' with Daddy and because it's not very powerful it should be fairly safe for them to use.

I bought the Draper for a tenner as a secondary driver to my Makita, must say I was surprised with how good it is. It can drill and drive very well and the amount you get out of a 1 hour full charge is great too. I have been drilling and driving all day today and yesterday with it, i really am pleased with the Draper, didnt even need the Makita. Lets just hope it doesnt go kaput so soon

The drill uses NiCd which has been banned by the EU. So these are being dumped before they have to be destroyed. The drill is ok but the battery pack is rubbish. Self discharge is high and it wont run for very long. Best avoided at any price.
