yay they on specail for a tenner at the moment. fantastic. ive just ordered four to go with my other halfs beer dispenser that i got him for crimbo. sshhh its a suprise he he.
anyway if you order four you can save six pounds if u look in the vouchers, so basically getting free delievery. (u need to order something for few pence too, as it has to be OVER forty pounds i discovered)
i got a four pound delivery spot so in effect spending just 9.50 each keg
im well chuffed.
asda have them on special as well at the moment for 12.00.

It is true that you can get 3 cases of cans of lager for £20 when the 3 for £20 offers are on. However, these cases are nearly always 15 or 18 cans are are always for lower strength lager, like Carling, Fosters or Carlsberg. It is more common to be able to get 20 440ml cans of non imported premium lager for around the £10 mark when they are on special offer, so 8.8 litres, as opposed to the 5 litres of imported lager in the keg in this offer.
As for the person who used the old close to water joke, they are obviously unaware that the Heineken sold in this country is no longer the weak domestically brewed version that they used to sell over here, but is 5% ABV premium strength imported lager.

You can get 3 x 20 cans of lager when the 3 for £20 0ffers are on - and that kind of make 9 pints for £10 seem well overpriced. Not voting cold thought as this is cheap for a Keg. I always wondered if you could reuse the keg for brewing your own beer. Does anyone know if this is possible?

What a RIP OFF these kegs are always vastly overpriced compared to bottles and cans.
I'll stick to bulk buying £10 crates whenever they come on offer.

I bought one in last week's shopping, it tastes disgusting when compared to bottled lager. You really can taste a metallic quality in the beer, can't wait until it's empty so I can reclaim the fridge space back

silly question, but are these the ones that you can just use without a beermaster 5000/portapinty XL etc etc??
They have their own little tap on right? and you just need a big enough fridge to put them in?
next question is how many pints do you get!?

Our local Co-Op is in the middle of nowhere (it's the only supermarket on the island), but it generally follows the same offers/prices as its shops on the mainland, so I assume the deal wasn't localised to our store. They had at least 10 of them in stock.

It's a good deal for these.
I'm in a lucky situation whereby I can buy Heineken cans 6 for £5 - actually works out a better deal.
Still - Heat for this....definitely the best lager in the World by a country mile!

What beer dispenser do you have?
I am fairly sure these do not fit the draftmaster (i got one for my brother for his birthday) and these ones have a tap built into them.
