I paid £20 for one of the mathmos projectors and was still disappointed at how bad it is (I suppose if it had been a product that was supposed to be £20 then it would have been fine, but with an rrp of 3x that it felt too cheap and underwhelming).
The DJ ones can have anything put into them, just make sure you use acetate that is OK at high temparatures. The range of oil wheels for the professional ones far outnumber the 6 or so mathmos colours, but then the price of pro wheels are twice the mathmos ones.
As for looks - I find both the mathmos and DJ ones ugly but once they are hidden in a corner of a room you'll never see either. =]

anyone know a code that works for the free pack of melts with your order?

well i like mine! The clear clear oil wheel is pretty nice. The ones you mention look cool but I wouldnt want them in my room and you can't put photos into them. I agree that you can get dj standard for the same price though, without the discount the projector does become significantly less desirable...

The oil-wheel projectors are pretty dire. Worse than that they are terrible. Better off buying a proper/DJ oil projector (a source magma would be grand, and are available for £50-£100 depending where you get them from) - better built and a better quality effect.

Anyone know if the Airswitch Os are any good as bedside lights?

depends where you mount it really, due to the sensor position you could end up turning the light on and off when you roll around in bed (if you mount it slightly above you)
The airswitch 1 or tc make great bedside light so i'd go for one of them.
On a side note this is an awesome deal, never seen a bad product from mathmos, hope the sale means they're gonna be releasing some new designs this year as I have almost all of the current ones!

Damn if it was only on Astro (which is by far the best imo)!
This got me looking at the Mathmos site though - didn't realise you could buy replacement bulbs - my bulb has needed replacing ever since Mrs Butter-Fingers-Lazy dropped it - so you've solved that problem for me!

I agree, although the Fluidium looks kinda cool to me.. personally I just dont have and cant justify spending £50 on them so soon after crimbo (and theres no one I like enough to give the other one to! lol), otherwise Id have gone for it.
I have/had the Astro too.. I bought it about 10years ago now, I barely turned it on bcos I didnt want to ruin it,, so it probably got switched on 4 times a year if that.. perhaps that was the wrong thing to do bcos when I turned it on last year the lava had gone manky, kinda white/mouldy looking! Followed some guide off the web to revive it - it SO didnt work!
Have spotted the new clear/white lava in the replacement bottles though.. just need to decide which one to go for and get saving!
Got some heat for it though, so ty and  for me and my first lil post!! lol
