If you put “ The Oldershaw Academy” for the place of study it won’t ask for any student ID or student number so you will only have to pay for the card and not extra for the buying online Course which usually cost around £10

Hi everyone!
Has anyone tried to register with Unidays once you have got your NUS extra card? I'm struggling as it's asking for a personal institutional email address.

Some form of spend is usually required to receive a discount ssc1. Definition of: Discount -
1. A deduction from the usual cost of something. 2. Regard as being unworthy of consideration.
I think we're gonna have to discount your post mate. Sorry! :stuck_out_tongue:

With the NUS sign up, once youve selected Oldershaw, does it matter what info you enter on the course details screen (step 1) ?
The email needs to be the one you use with your Amazon account.

Please can you clarify the Amazon email address please is it [email protected]amazon.co.uk Please correct if I'm wrong  So I just take screenshot from nus extra app then email it to Amazon, do you have to email Amazon using same email address that I have used to register for nus extra

I simply took a screen of the NUS Extra app where it shows your student details, photo etc and email it to [email protected]amazon.co.uk simply stating you wish to enroll in the student prime. Just make sure you use the email address from which you are sending is the same one you want your Amazon account to become prime. I then received a confirmation email from Amazon stating I was enrolled, followed the link in the received email from Amazon and I was primed. Good fortune.

Yes, it's 4 years but things can change and if they allow you to tick 5 years when the policy is only 4 then at least i am covered an extra year should it change, faster doesn't mean smarter :stuck_out_tongue:

I only bought the card really for Amazon student, as by far the biggest benefit of having it for me. I downloaded the app, took a screenshot on my phone of the account page, and emailed it to Amazon. within 12 hours I'm an Amazon student member. It was that easy.
Amazon did send an email saying that the oldershaw academy was not on there list of verified UK universities, but sent a follow up email 10 mins later saying it had been verified by another department, with the link to sign up.
The oldershaw academy, if you Google it seems to be just a high school so might be why it's not in Amazon's initial list.

The Terms and Conditions for the NUS Extra card also says any cards that cannot be verified will be cancelled with no refund, so if they see hundreds of new cards issued for this academy, particularly outside the enrolment period, they may mass-revoke them.

preecey to sam_of_london
6 Oct 17#39
I work for the Co-op. It isn't a 5% discount with the membership cards, it's 5% back onto your card whenever you buy Co-op own brand products. Plus occasional vouchers and coupons even when not buying own brand. The Co-op Membership card is £1 in my region.
The 5% cash value that you've accumulated by buying own brand stuff doesn't have to spent on own brand items, it can be spent on anything, even lottery! The 5% can be spent at any time as it goes onto membership cards as cash - there is no need to wait for statements through the post. Co-op card balances are printed on each receipt after every transaction.
And the beautiful thing is this - you can use Co-op Membership cards in conjunction with NUS Extra cards. So as long as your local participates in the NUS Extra discount, you get an immediate 10% off your shopping on most things, regardless of brand, including alcohol. Plus you'll get 5% back onto your membership card when buying anything own brand.
Hope this clarifies it for Co-op customers!

Am I missing something? Leaving the default course (A-Level accounting, lasting 3 years), cost comes up as £32.
OK, £12 for a year, £32 for 3 years.

Has anyone tried to register with Unidays once you have got your NUS extra card? I'm struggling as it's asking for a personal institutional email address.
Definition of: Discount -
1. A deduction from the usual cost of something.
2. Regard as being unworthy of consideration.
I think we're gonna have to discount your post mate. Sorry! :stuck_out_tongue:
The email needs to be the one you use with your Amazon account.
[email protected]amazon.co.uk
Please correct if I'm wrong
So I just take screenshot from nus extra app then email it to Amazon, do you have to email Amazon using same email address that I have used to register for nus extra
I then received a confirmation email from Amazon stating I was enrolled, followed the link in the received email from Amazon and I was primed.
Good fortune.
Also means I'm faster learning then you clearly, 5 years, you slowpoke.
Cheers
Ordered my nus extra via mobile with home delivery, just hope they accept my selfie rough and ready photo
Why does the isic number show expired 0/10/2018
Will i receive the card in the mail or not?
I downloaded the app, took a screenshot on my phone of the account page, and emailed it to Amazon. within 12 hours I'm an Amazon student member. It was that easy.
Amazon did send an email saying that the oldershaw academy was not on there list of verified UK universities, but sent a follow up email 10 mins later saying it had been verified by another department, with the link to sign up.
The oldershaw academy, if you Google it seems to be just a high school so might be why it's not in Amazon's initial list.
Wasn't a problem.
That was a lie even if the guy could spell "Ann".
Is learning/being a student only the preserve of people under/over those respective ages...?
Not sure about it being a shame unhappybunny but just in case it helps, Stagecoach, Arriva, Oyster etc all offer student discounts. Not free obviously but better than nowt.

Purchased membership, downloaded app, screenshotted membership and emailed amazon to swap my prime membership over, they emailed back within an hour and i now have 6 months free trial and student prime(put my expected graduation as 2020 so hopefully student prime membership till then). One happy customer
Googling previous threads has only come up with out of date links.
Also, the alumni thing seems to be a dead end.
Spotify
Matalan
McDonald's
Have all dropped out i think...
Going to go the old original fudge route and book an online course....at least you know your card definitely isn't going to get revoked.
Also said in the email that i will be automatically refunded for the time i had left on my normal prime membership.
Not sure where your getting your info but it's not correct.
Thanks in advance
Amazon Prime (6 months free) then £39 a year. If you already pay for prime, amazon will refund you any outstanding balance.
Coop 10% off. Use it all the time as my local shop is a Coop, Always in the beer isle
Spotify £4.99 (offer no longer available).
McDonalds - Free McFlurry with a meal
NUS Extra Offer £10 off £40 spend at Amazon
the general consensus is that it's not gonna happen, I Wouldn't worry mate and get on it whilst you still can. I've just this week extended my card for 3 more years, piece of cake and worth doing.
For peace of mind I know that GoGroopie have a Microsoft Course for £4 by ECareers which is a valid institute.
Obviously free is better. Any thoughts
I have this, enjoy!
You need to leave his to run out before activating yours, otherwise they'd run concurrentlyly so youd be wasting the trail period.
Stumped!!
So basically you have to pay £12 only and that should last how long if using with Amazon?
