Thankfully, there's more to a CPU than how many cores it has.

Great cpu and this is a good price. Love my 6700K and I'm overclocking it at a stable 4.7 Ghz using just a cheap Evo 212 cooler. Fast as hell!

A good overclock. What is your memory and motherboard?

I have the i5 and get 4.8 ghz from it.
Skylake are good chips that overclock well and run cool.
Can't recommend them enough.

Temps at load were mostly in 77 to 79 degrees range at 100% CPU usage, running Realbench and Prime 95 stress testing. Occasionally crept into low 80s but way under the 100 it takes before the CPU starts throttling itself.
