The Candy Perfume girl, Google Translate does not work for your review, from what I can tell, sounds very interesting.

TheCandyperfumegirl

💮La Vie Est Belle Intense by Lancome

I am slowly collecting LVEB flankers. This far my least favourite is actually the original LVEB, the other flankers I've tried are much fruitier and fresher, apart from this one. The Intense is so strong! It's like an amped version of the original with more sweet and more nutty/creaminess which makes the whole composition richer.

I think this a cold weather fragrance and would be too cloying in the heat. I don't think I will wear this a lot, it's not my favourite LVEB flanker but it's still nice and I'm happy to have it in my collection for now.

22dxb

this is my everyday scent. such a classic.

LuckyMommy

La Vie Est Belle Intense is absolutely gorgeous, I'm so happy they brought it back. I really do love the OG and this one smells just as beautiful but it's creamier, sweeter and fruitier with that nutty background, and I don’t get as much of the patchouli in this one. A love at first sniff perfume, and totally a compliment getter. I don't care if everyone knows this scent, it has become a classic and for a good reason.

Lexiilou91

OMG!! They brought it back! I was able to find it today at my local ulta store. And it smells just as beautiful, sweet, creamy, nutty and juicy as when I first tried it. I had to grab it, when it first came out it was the perfume that always got me compliments and it always lasted long, I wore it everyday. I was elated when it came back. Lancôme please don’t discontinue this sweet gem ever again! For those of you who have never tried it smells like the OG LVEB but without the weird mute dry down. This is creamier and sweeter almost like it has sugar note at the very beginning I don’t get a whole lot of patchouli in this either.

Thykes10

I can definitely get the pear and other fruits in the opening. But just like the OG, this is too sweet and fruity for me. The floral notes weren't very prominent on my skin. This stayed fruity and sweet throughout the drydown. The lasting power seemed poorer than the OG (but still good). It's definitely feminine, with moderate projection and it lasted about 6-7 hours before becoming a barely noticeable skin scent.

DHakky

How come they discontinue this gem !!! Far better than the original LVEB ...the dry down is heavenly beautiful very creamy and delicious ....bring it back please

LadyMuck

I loved/liked the original but WOW this one is off the charts beautiful as far as flankers goes.
Just stunning nuttiness and whipped cream dry down not to mention the iris and pear.
Wonderful and magical and very addictive. I Adore it and am using it sparingly as I hear it's discontinued.
It's a treasure for sure!

ledavis727

I was lucky enough to buy a full size unopened tester bottle of this on eBay for $50 and so I was already a happy camper before I had even smelled this due to it being a bargain. If I hated it, I could probably sell it for a better price, and if I loved it then double score for me. I cannot tell you how much I ended up loving this perfume. It is a ridiculously decedent, sweet, sexy, charming perfume. I kinda like the original overall, but there was always something in it that I couldn’t quite put my finger on that turned me off and I never bought a full bottle. This flanker is like LVEB’s glamorous older sister. It has sweet charm but it is so, so, SO ridiculously sexy. This is a perfectly blended gourmand lovers dream. I have no clue why they would ever discontinue this, and I am so glad to have this in my collection. I think the hazelnut accord adds a beautiful depth while all of the lovely flowers and whipped cream keep the scent teetering on the edge of a honeyed sweetness. I have literally spayed this on myself 7 times today because I just cannot get enough of this!

Krem4e363

Топъл, вкусен, чудесен. Аз харесвам много повече този вариант, вместо оригиналния La vie est belle.

Isi1997

Oh my God, a La Vie Est Belle that I actually adore on myself! This was a blind buy as it is discontinued, but I read many reviews and was intrigued by this perfume, so I went for the plunge. The original La Vie Est Belle smells decent, but the florals tend to come out too much on me for my liking, so I don't like it enough to purchase a bottle. The intensement version I like better, but again, it smells a little too floral on myself for my liking, even though I like it enough to consider purchasing. This one right here though fits the bill. It's a comforting scent, like you're warming up in a coffee shop on a cold day. I don't get the hazelnut note at all, but I do get the sweetness of the whipped cream. Like other reviewers mentioned, this is a softer version of the original with greater warmth and less floral (at least for me it is). Too bad that it's discontinued, this should be the original La Vie Est Belle in my opinion!

Ambrocia scents

I cant tell you how good this smells. The Best LVEB flanker by faar. Its such a "love at first sniff" kind of perfume. Immediately when I smellbit I think of a thick turtle neck long nails and winter lol. I can smell the nuttiness, the vanilla, the cream, 60% of all this added to the OG perfume, its a step above "basic" for anyone who regards the original perfume as that. Smells grown yet sweet, just attractive, try it.

missloveschocolate

A nice mix of pears with jasmine and flowers. Not too flowery, very neat overall, not too classic, but classy and stylish. A good diplomatic choice for everyday.

LSAUG

For those of you who love this perfume and are having a hard time finding it fragrancenet.com have decants of it on clearance right now. With the 30% off coupon they are $4.19. I'm not a fan of hazelnut or I would get one to try it.

GUADELUPA

It's a good old La Vie Est Belle. I love it very much. I don’t see much difference with the original one. It's my all time favorite fragrance, including all flankers, and this one, respectively. I can't smell any cream and hazelnuts, but this does not make this scent worse or easier. The charming smell is the same. Longevity and sillage are excellent. I can smell it for some days on clothes. La Vie Est Belle Intense is suitable for any time of the year. Pity, it was discontinued.

Theonlyone

This is sadly discontinued and almost impossible to find. So lemme tell you how to get the exact scent. Mix the OG LVEB with Elie Saab Girl of Now and Armani Sì Intense 2021! That combo is LVEB Intense!

sweetcheex

This is gorgeous. It’s creamier than the OG. I wasn’t super crazy about the patchouli note in the og so this is perfect

Rosemary14

La Vie Est Belle Intense is absolutely gorgeous. In fact it’s my favorite of the whole line. It smells a lot like the original but also a lot like Girl of Now. It’s warm, syrupy, nutty, and sweet. I get mostly hazelnut, iris, whip cream in the dry down with cassis and citrus in the opening but it’s so well blended it’s very difficult to pick apart. It’s just lovely.

*loves_shoes*

Rich, fruity, creamy, sweet, nutty…. Very slightly floral… a touch of honey, love in a bottle.
La Vie est Belle is fast becoming one of my most reliable fragrance ranges from a designer. I love the original. And I love this even more.
Delicious.
Edit: quite a lot of honey in the drydown, surprised it’s not listed as a note.

duckiescents

This is way better than the original. I have to say I am impressed with Intense. The whipped cream tones down the iris that I can't stand in the original. I am not sure what Lancome / L'Oreal was thinking when they decided to discontinue intense, because in my opinion intense should of been the original La Vie Est Belle. The tuberose is more in front of this instead of iris, and I am happy about that. I really hope Lancome listens to what we truly want. Yes like others have said, E'clat is great and all, but doesn't come close to what intense is. Intense is special compared to all the other flankers in La Vie Est Belle line up. Get Intense before there aren't any left. You don't want to regret it.

Kizzyb93

Loved this since it came out !! This radiates really well on myself. It’s one of those perfumes when someone is wearing it you know what .juice they use . Yes everyone one wears this ,and it common but for good reason it smells lovely 🥰 I wear this all year round and I never get bored of it

A_Ferrera

An Antarctic winter is still no match for this, it cuts through the cold in the same way as how a Russian nuclear icebreaker glides through sheets of ice with absolute ease.

There has always been something so alluring about the way Lancôme marketed the entire La Vie Est Belle range, it invokes a feeling of nostalgia bringing me back to 2015/2016 where International travel was at its peak for the 21st century. Seeing the glistening bottle in duty free as you rush by and the gate attendant is paging your name though the intercom, somehow amidst the panic it still manages to catch your eye. Lancôme choosing Julia Roberts as the face for LVEB was such a good decision and the purple hues on the display are just irresistible 😭

I LOVE the tinted violet coloured bottle with the matching scarf that hugs the atomiser, another thing to appreciate is that nowhere on the glass bottle does it blurt it's name (aside from the atomiser) which to me that already says enough. LVEB is so iconic that you can automatically recognise it from the bottle and the way it smells which doesn't need a loud label obstructing the design. Something about Lancôme fragrances that are so special, they have charm but in my humble opinion this is the absolute best in the LVEB family. Yes, some people consider the line as generic smelling and that the original LVEB smells "cheap" but they have fallen off their rocker because once upon a time this was unique and it stood alone.

This is what paved way for all of the other designer houses to generalise this "modern/designer DNA, generic smelling, basic b-" style of perfume and people have seemed to have forgotten that when the original LVEB came out in 2012 that it was revolutionary! There is nothing cheap about this range maybe aside from soleil crystal, but that aside the quality alone is evident in the lasting power and silage!!!

Anyways...it's still a best seller for a reason and even though the intense version has been discontinued, it still remains my absolute favourite from the line and now it's been made even more unique due to the discontinuation of this flanker. I do think that for some this is more palatable in comparison to the original because of the whipped cream and hazelnuts, lasting power is amazing and I always get compliments on it but never give away what I'm wearing hehe. As someone else mentioned this does not possess anything skanky or sexy, it's just ethereal and beautiful. I will treasure my 75ml bottle which is now a staple in my winter arsenal.

sybilline

I love this. It smells like how a hug feels. There's no sexy twist, no animalic nuance, nothing vulgar or dirty or seductive about this one. Lightly floral, very creamy, with a sweet nuttiness. This is the most innocent fragrance I've had the pleasure of smelling, and I love it so much. If I sniff my wrist and close my eyes, it smells like sleeping in a freezing room, burrito wrapped in a warm lilac-colored blanket. I don't exactly like the original LVEB, but this doesn't seem too similar to it. Such a shame that it's discontinued.

Nomen

What an obnoxious scent! I had to wash my wrist half an hour after testing, and I don't really do that. I'm trying to give a fair trial to each fragrance, but this was unbearable. Silly as I am, I could have bought it just for the listing here. I mean: hazelnuts and whipped cream... Yum!
But this is way too much of everything. I'm not feeling comfortable calling any perfume vulgare, but it was my first thought, wearing this.
Note to self: blindbying is always a bad idea, regardless of how "photogenic" a fragrance may appear.
Edit: 12h later, in the morning (and after it's been washed off last night), it's actually rather delicious, that spot on my arm. Sweet iris - just the way I like my perfumes. But I couldn't possibly hold my breath that long. Maybe LVBE L'Absolu is that straight drydown, without the stinky patch that develops on my skin from the regular EDP? I'm not sure that I would actually dare to test yet another one from the line on my own skin and certainly would not consider blindbying. 🙄

joanneJ

Heavy sillage, smells nice but not the classiest version out of the other versions. It’s also way too strong, gives me sinus headaches and when I wear it people around me feel suffocated. I love spraying it on clothes though. I wouldn’t repurchase it, but I’d recommend it.

Cici20

Creamy and sweeter than the original, reminds me of Girl of Now. Less iris, less praline and more fruits. The la vie est belle dna is there but you have to really wait for it. A bit weaker than the original but still good.

P.S: this review may not be accurate because I sprayed Amirage on the same arm.

Diari

In their perfume guide Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez rated this with a lower score (2 stars) compared to the original. It was obviously a case of snobbish prejudice since what they deemed the saving grace of the original is the iris, which manages to put a brake on the sugar and adds a touch of class to the composition. I don't think there's more iris in this version, but the arrangement of notes to me bring its lipstick-powdery chalkiness out more, and so I prefer the intense to the original.
To echo the review below, I'm so upset they discontinued this. Intensément is nice enough, but I hate the screechy musk at its start.

perfume_angel

Sooo upset that they discontinued one of my favourite perfumes but I was recently able to get my hands on a new bottle!

This is a more refined, and rounded LVEB with more nuttiness and creaminess to it. The whipped cream and hazelnut really elevate this scent and give it a more delicious scent. It does not have the sharp patchouli note that the original has. Still very sweet, feminine, classy, and has a makeup lipsticky powderiness to it in the best way possible! I adore this scent and it lasts so long on my skin and clothes and sillage fills up a room! Absolutely amazing

Overall a lovely sweet, creamy, powdery, lipsticky gourmand scent!

Scent 10/10
longevity 10/10
projection 10/10

IVIL

I was at the restaurant/pub the other day, and a young lady sat next to me and oh my God, she smelled incredible. Like warm milk with cocoa/vanilla touch - sweet, warm, feminine. I needed to ask her what is her perfume. I did so, and she said it is La Vie est Belle...then I almost cried. I hate LVEB since it is way too sweet for my taste, way too commercial. But the she added it is "intense" version. I immediately googled the ingredients and when I saw whipped cream and hazelnut, I bought 30ml edp (also, when I read in ur comments that it's discontinued)...and you know what? It is a good perfume! Not annoying as LVEB, incredibly strong and definitely you need a "moment" to let head/top notes "blow away" but then it's really warm, sensual, cozy, feminine and definitely sexy. I agree it is more cold weather perfume, possible to wear during rainy, colder summer days, def not for a hot weather. Not my signature scent but definitely the one which will get a lot of compliments from men and which lasts HOURS!

bel.gravia

Milk chocolate, iris and patchouli :)
Perhaps more powdery a bit less sweet than the original, also more creamy. I like La Vie Est Belles - it is a happy line of long lasting perfumes which celebrate life.

brandybasisty

I don't get whipped cream or hazelnut, but think that someone's comparison to wedding smells is very fitting! I used to do bridal party make-up, and this scent takes me back to a place where there's wafts of different people's fragrances, make-up, sweets and boozy coffee all floating around-- creating a bright, celebratory cloud of excitement (and possibly overwhelm). LVEB Intense becomes a sweet tropical scent on me in the drydown (the wedding is over, and you're on a beach for your honeymoon, haha). I haven't tried the OG LVEB, so I'm not sure how it compares. Sillage and longevity of this is impressive. A little too much going on for me?

metalshin23

Being a LVEB fan and owning the EDP and EDT (which was also discontinued), I wanted to see how LVEB Intense differs. I got so intrigued upon learning that the base note contains whipped cream. Wow! Yummy. I was pretty sure Intense would smell unique. I'm a sucker for anything that has whipped cream y'know!

I've got myself a decant to try first to see if it's full bottle worthy. Upon initial spray, I was greeted by Pear, followed by iris and tuberose, then the hazelnut showed itself right after. Unfortunately, I detect little to no whipped cream at all.

This one reminds me a lot of Girl of Now. To my surprise, a lot of Fragrantica reviewers had said the same thing. I also detect a teeny, tiny bit of JPG Scandal and Dior Poison Girl.

I only spritz 2 and it literally filled the room. Sillage is pretty strong; But nowhere near the longevity of the OG. By the 7th hour mark, I couldn't smell it on myself anymore, wherein the OG could probably last more than 12 hours.

I wasn't really a fan of almond notes in general, so this is a good pass for me. I still prefer the Praline and Tonka Bean combo of the original. But I would have to agree that Lancome made a mistake when they discontinued this! Such a gem.

AnaMaria97

I love this. A night time version of LVEB. This is what I was hoping for when I purchased the L'Absolue (I definitely prefer this one). This is all the good parts of Girl of Now (the deep nuttiness) without that musky baby powder that always put me off. A holy grail, unfortunately it doesn't project or last anywhere near as long as the original.

Original LVEB: fruitchouli, sweet praline dry down
L'Absolu: the classy version without dirtiness of patchouli, more creamy
Intense: hazelnut gourmand, deeper and sexiest version

A huge compliment getter!

aris1223

I agree with Lisabs68 - no one wears there’s where I’m from . It’s such a gem 💎. Great bang for your buck as far as longevity and sillage. I definitely get a bit of a lactonic vibe with this one. I love this you truly can’t go wrong it’s such a classic ! Will always have a La vie Est Belle in my collection .

Lizabs68

What a beauty! Some people says how common this perfume is but I’ve never really smelt it on anyone else, this is a beautiful scent no matter what and it’s a 9.5 out of 10 for me.

Brooke1988

If you like La Vie Est Belle, you'll most likely enjoy this flanker. This is a deeper (not necessarily more intense) version of the original. I don't find this sweeter than the original, but I do find the sweetness in it to be thicker and more syrupy. Though it is not mentioned in the notes, I also get a bit of plum, blackberry, or dark cherry in the opening and mid. My favorite part is the deep dry-down because that is where I get some of those beautiful hazelnut and whipped cream accords. All in all, I really enjoy Intense but I am still partial to the original because it is brighter, fresher, and a bit more innocent. I also find that the original LVEB lasts quite a bit longer on my skin and clothing - sometimes even into the next day! Intense gives me only about 4-6 hours of wear time, unless I "overspray".

penko

This smells like eating a Ferrero Rocher at a wedding. There are flowers nearby and you are wearing a ton of makeup. I know this may not appeal to everyone, but I love rich intense sweet perfumes and I love this one. Disclaimer, I also love LVEB original and that itself is a hot take apparently...

fleursdumal

Lancome reimagines Georgio Beverly Hills on steriods. A sugar-tuberose explosive device unparalleled in its ability to asphyxiate everything in its path. An undifferentiated mess of gloopy high fructose syrup with floral e-numbers to go. Not Ropion's finest hour and mercifully, discontinued.

yeesa_

I had high hopes for this one given all the reviews. As someone who loves sweet perfume this is too sweet! To the point where it was kind of nauseating. I'll give it another shot but doubt it will grow on me.

colabama

Lancome really made a mistake when they discontinued this fragrance. This is truly a wonderful fragrance!

AlexandraTroush

I recently made an online purchase and at the end of the process I was told I'd get a free sample of La Vie Est Belle. I love samples, but I already knew that I hated LVEB (something in it is truly sickening to me), and so I was thinking who I could give it to when I get it. I got the order yesterday, and apparently it's not the original LVEB but this L'Eau de Parfum Intense version! I was delighted, as I've been wanting to try it for the longest time but couldn't afford to blind buy a full bottle just for sampling purposes.

I'm delighted to say that this version is way better than the original, to me. The original makes me nauseous, this one doesn't. This is sweet and comforting, a happy cheerful fragrance to warm up those grey and cool days we've been having recently. It's like hot cocoa with marshmallows in perfume form (not the scent itself, but the cuddly warm feeling it evokes). I love my fair share of complicated and challenging gourmands, but this one is simple in the best way possible. It's a "sophisticated kind of simple" gourmand, something between Fancy (Jessica Simpson) and Angel Muse (Mugler).

Btw, for an "Intense" version, it's rather soft. It's definitely softer than the OG. My husband said- "this is the first soft fragrance you're wearing since we met" (which was 11 years ago).

I'm really enjoying this gorgeous little sample, and I'm thinking of saving up and getting a full bottle eventually.

sofiadore

Yikes. This is truly mind numbingly boring. Opens with some juicy fruitiness, then step in the light florals, dry down is just... sweet, pedestrian, nothing. The 'nuttiness' is not perceptible at all. Also lacking performance wise: turns into a skin scent within 30 minutes, and I can't really smell it on myself at all. Used up the sample though!

Scentflower

I really wanted a bottle of this and the intensement. My husband mistakenly bought the original La Vie Est Belle. I have a decant of the original and wasn't super into it. It's ok. But reading the notes on the intense, I knew I'd love it. After ordering a bottle, I was right, I love it.

It's warmer and less sharp then the original. I don't like patchouli in my perfumes. If I smell patchouli, I'm not into it. This fragrance is warm, sweet and cozy. I really get the hazelnut and whip cream. Its so gorgeous. It may be a little heavy for summer. I can see it becoming cloying and overwhelming. But during winter, and fall it's now one of my favorites!
EDIT: I love this perfume, far more than the original. However the original lasts longer than the intense. Lasts maybe 3-4 hrs max

ceeceelee

I've been wanting this forever and finally found a great deal on Amazon, sold by Amazon, so I felt safe in buying. It's a gorgeous ~ sweet ~ creamy ~ nutty ~ fruity ~ with just enough citrus to cut the sweet, scent on me. No real journey, what I smell when I spray is about the same as what I smell many hours later, just softer. I won't be able to wear everyday, that's ok bc it's discontinued, but I'm going to wear it whenever I feel like it. I'm glad I got it, absolutely no buyers remorse. I will say after about 12 (!) hours the dry down reminds me of Tresor. You can tell it has the DNA of a Lancome. So if you've tried other Lancome scents that you don't care for, I'd recommend you not blind buy.

Edit: 2/21/21
So in love! I just bought the last two the seller had. The 2.5 oz size. Overstock has it in the 1.7 oz for $79.99, so if you want it before it becomes unavailable except for decants, you might look into it. Fragrance Net has it but at a higher price point and they are getting limited as well. I'm seriously thinking about spending the money on Fragnet and getting the 3.4 oz size, I love it THAT much. Wow. I haven't had a scent react with my skin so well since my love affair with Shalimar began.

I Love it sooooooooooo much! It`s my signature scent. It`s heavy, sweet and very, very long lasting! Romantic and also seductive, luxurious and delicate! The praline sweetness paired with the tastiest hazelnut is driving me crazy!

igalmusic

I m not a big fun of this flanker... super sweet, woody and a little bit spicy, not so feminine as original LVEB and not so uplifting either...

Liene

Nice, cozy and warm perfume, likable and the quality is definitely there – exquisite, nicely blended ingredients and fine staying power. Approximately for three hours I get moderate sillage, later it fades to saturated skin scent with staying power for twelve more hours easily. I actually don’t find LVEB L'Eau de Parfum Intense as intense as the original, more tamed and less polarizing.
As the scent is wrapping the wearer in warm sweetness, it is better for colder weather. Suitable for day and night more depending on usual perfume preferences.

Mostly I get woody and sweet hazelnut, powdery yet floral and soft iris (not makeup powder really, but almost there) and pink pepper with persistent tickling sweet spiciness. Sweetness in the opening more likely comes from orange flower and fruit mix (I get nuances from pretty much everything listed), perhaps with some whipped cream and tuberose. At some point cassis, orange flower and pink pepper is too sharp and tangy for my liking, however it fades in a while as it mingles with softer iris. The iris in the composition disappears from time to time and then comes back even it the late drydown. After some six hours sweetened whipped cream takes over and lingers with spicy and nutty nuances. From now on the perfume stays not linear, but definitely predictable.

The iris and the hazelnut is the best part of this, however I am not sold by extreme sweetness and nose tickling pepper. Something is lacking for my full excitement.

MA2015

OMG 😍in love with this beast, sprayed it on 4.30am and can still smell it at 19.00, so many complaints on how lovely this beauty is, my new fav!

lechickpea

When I first tried this, all I could smell was a nuclear-level sweet hazelnut note. But the more I wear this, the more I can smell the soft purple iris flowers underneath - the combination of creamy hazelnut and iris is unexpected and pretty! The original LVEB DNA is definitely there. And just like the original, 3 sprays easily lasts through a 12+ hour day on me.

I'm not usually in the mood for something this sugary sweet, but when the mood strikes this does the trick. Othertimes I can find the sweetness annoying. I do think it's in the same family as Elie Saab Girl of Now - they aren't dupes, but if you like one, you'll probably like the other.

EDIT: I can actually smell the tuberose in this now too!

kyleeanderson

Smells exactly like the original. I get no hazelnut or whipped cream it just smells a tad like the smallest bit softer than the original. Don't pick this up if you have the original try the éclat version as it is the best. if you like la vie best belle, but want it a little softer than that would be the only way id recommend to pick it up as it never gets used in my collection because I prefer the others. So underwhelmed.

Bluesandshoes

By far, my most favorite perfume. I get more compliments on this than any other. It’s sexy, soft, bold, but subdued, luxurious. It smells like a true perfume of the past and not the synthetic concoctions presently on the market. It doesn’t take a lot, has staying power and the base notes linger on your skin for hours after initial application. Lancome hit it out of the park with this one. And not everyone is using it like sheep. Which I love. ❤️

Rozalina

I’m revisiting my sample of this today and I have to disagree with my older review where I said all I smelled was tuberose. Right now, in the Midwest winter, I’m definitely smelling the whipped cream and hazelnuts. Can’t detect any tuberose. However, I agree with the person below that this shares some similarities with Elie Saab’s Girl of Now. I find this a perfect sweetly warm and cozy perfume for the wintertime, and don’t detect the heavy patchouli that dominates the original LVEB.

fonty_o

This is definitely gourmand as the notes reveal, it is very sweet and slightly creamy. This DOES have patchouli, even though it isn't listed. People who dislike patchouli will be able to smell it, but it isn't a lot. I think this is quite similar to Elie Saab Girl of Now. But with added patchouli.
I have seen this on Fragrance X a number of times at a decent price for the tester, although GON could definitely be a cheaper, similar alternative 🥰

Taurien

Last winter, after having smelled this fragrance several times falling in love with it, I finally decided to buy it. It was after attending the presentation organized by the Lancôme house of their new flanker Intensément. Although I also liked this one a lot and it is still on my wishlist, I had a thorn in the side of getting Intense first. What I least expected was that when I arrived at the shop they told me that that same day Intense had been discontinued in favor of Intensément and that Lancôme workers had already taken the stock of the older flanker. Like a hound, I went in search of its trace and, fortunately, I was able to reach another shop where the removal of Intense had not yet happened and I was able to include it in my collection ...

Anecdotes aside, LVEB Intense is very sweet and has LVEB's DNA but without the patchouli slap (note that I am a lover of that note, but I think this will please those who are not) and a drying in which the whipped cream, which replaces the praline, makes the perfume very creamy. I think it is a beautiful perfume. I use it mainly on winter nights. Last night I finally took it out of the closet to dress it again for a special dinner (unfortunately without leaving home, you know ...).

It has a moderate projection and its duration on my skin is high but maybe not as long as I would like, of around 8 hours.

LVEB Intense is flirty and very gourmand... I'll enjoy it while it lasts...

Scent 8.5 / 10
Duration 7/10
Sillage 7/10
Quality / price 6.5 / 10
Versatility 7/10
Packaging 7/10
Would I buy again? Yes, although I think it will be difficult ...

Sonyakaroliinaq

I'm wearing this beauty right now and it really makes me sad and anxious to think that this masterpiece is discontinued! This was my second designer perfume ever that i purchased with my own money...:( So many good memories. This makes me feel myself sophisticated and just beautiful. Hope i can still find it somewhere.

nativelocal

This smells like the original LVEB with an added creaminess and juicy pear superimposed onto it. You have to enjoy very sweet fragrances because this delivers a lot of sugar. I have the Intensement flanker which I find to be a bit creamier, so this one would be redundant for me. But this is still a really beautiful addition to the line and it definitely maintains that signature LVEB DNA that so many people have come to love.

nadiiine

The first time I sprayed this on me, it was too ridiculously sweet IMO.. to a point where my nose would actually be a bit sensitive. BUT after a few minutes, it starts to go away and after an hour passes, this perfume is perfect.

It turns into a sweet tolerable gourmand, you can tell there's whipped cream in it and it smells sooo good. The sillage is also great. I guess for me, I'd have to spray myself/my clothes an hour or so in advance before heading out just to avoid the overly sweet opening.

chelseamurdock

This fragrance made me instantly very nauseous. I have never been so physically ill from a perfume before (same goes for the original La Vie Est Belle). I’m sorry, but it’s truly such a cloying, siiiickly sweet scent. Even after smelling this fragrance and walking out of the room to get fresh air, I feel like I could still smell it - the scent somehow clung to my nostrils and the back of my throat. It didn’t make me choke, it made me gag and want to vomit. I’m dead serious. Please don’t over spray this one - you could seriously make other people feel ill around you. I’m sorry because I know some people enjoy this fragrance, but I absolutely loathe it. The bottle is beautiful though.

vivi6977

simplemente lo amo! la mejor version a mi gusto de LVEB me compre 3 frascos por que se que la van a descontinuar.

ma2780

This is like a woodier, warmer LVEB. Right off the bat, I will say that I actually don't find this quite as creamy as intensement, which, to me, almost smells like a vanilla cake. I would say that if I had to assign the descriptor "cashmere" to any LVEB, it'd go to that one over this, as that one smells like it could have an actual cashmeran note. This one emphasizes the hazelnut, whipped cream, and the tuberose, which is a very modern and non-powdery tuberose. Another thing worth noting is that the patch in this is way toned down and not one of the main players like it is in the original. For that reason, I'd say this is a bit more wearable.

This one has a brightness that reminds me of Girl of Now, so I definitely get what other reviews are talking about. In fact, the only qualm I have with this fragrance is how much it resembles Girl of Now to me. That said, side by side they are not thaaaat similar, and you could absolutely get away with owning both. Personally, I ended up replacing my GON with this, because it doesn't go powdery on me like that one did.

Overall, this is super sweet and rich. I find it a bit more "introverted" than the original, sitting a liiiittle closer to the skin and going without some of the more polarizing notes (i.e. patch, black currant etc.). Longevity is excellent-- 10+ hours. This is sexy, comforting, and approachable, perhaps the most wearable of the line that I've tried.

rociito.moon

I haven't reviewed this perfume because, since this is my signature scent, I'm super biased.

I know you are not supposed to love LVEB perfumes because they are super sweet, gourmand, overpowering and not classics, but I think they are a dream come true. I don't even have words; they, and this one in particular, are simply perfection. If I had to choose just one perfume for the rest of my life, I happily choose LVEB intense.

I think I'm also the luckiest person because in my country people usually don't choose sweet gourmands, or prefer more discreet perfumes, so I've never smelled it in anyone else.

You see? I'm so biased that my review doesn't even qualify as a review.

Rozalina

Based on the notes- hazelnuts, whipped cream, fruits, iris, ylang ylang- this should be a no-strings-attached LOVE! I almost blind bought a bottle because there was no way I wouldn't adore this one, especially as I've already smelled LVEB many times and find it a linear but lovely girly gourmand. However, my experience with LVEB Intense is a much needed reminder to SAMPLE before you buy! I've used my little sample spray many times now, hoping for a different result based on different weather or different body lotion lol. Each time, I get a little woodiness from the hazelnut note, a *touch* of sweetness from the fruits and....tuberose tuberose TUBEROSE. I was trying to remember what LVEB Intense reminds me of, and it's the OG Dior Poison, another tuberose-heavy fragrance that I can't stand. I'm sure this does indeed smell sweet, creamy and gourmand (oh how I WISH this was cloying on me!) on other people, but on my skin it's none of those things. Long story short- try before you buy!

juniemoon

This is the one I thought I ordered on line, instead I mistakenly bought the original LVEB. Which is okay, I like it but don't love it. That was two years ago.

LVEB Intense is not easy to find but I finally did on a Canadian website at a good price. I love this version and it is true to the original but the hazelnut and whipped cream really round and soften out the kind of harshness of the original LVEB version. I actually had a guy scrunch up his nose and mumble "weird" when I passed him wearing the original LVEB. It didn't bother me too much, some people just can't appreciate good fumes.

I think I'll order another 50 ml bottle for this because I think it is discontinued and will be hard to find soon.

dglightblue

cool winter day but sunny, card and skin test.

well, this is a sweet syrupy thick scent with white floral creamyness and nutty vibes.

its lasts wonderfully, and projects like a beast.

it remains a thick kinda sweet, with the nutty and white florals steering it. the dry down ages later is a bit more powdery version of the thick sweet nutty creamyness whiteflorals and is my favourite stage.

i have the OG, i should have side by side tested but i thought i might suffocate anyone i came close to. i feel the beginning and middle are near enough to the bottle i have, this version is indeed intense and i find most of this line to have exceptional longevity and sillage.

the drydown is probably not as light as the OG.

mighty expensive though 30 ml was $140 holy crap can you believe that!!

DiaAnna

No ! It’s discontinued ! This was one of the best “ date me right now “ perfumes ! Too cloying , too blah blah blah ! Really not ! Too sexy , too seducing , too hard to resist !!!! The best ones are always taken away !

LetsGlowGirls

Like the original LVEB This has some nuts in like praline But not too sweet or caramel this is unique. Unfortunately they stopped to make it

angela_rae_palma

I've been mulling over this fragrance trying to figure out why I'm so conflicted about it, and I really think it's because it's not the right season for it. I get Christmas holiday vibes from this and it's currently Spring, so my brain really can't appreciate it at the moment haha. For me, I pick up a lot of the spiciness from the pink pepper in the opening surrounded by the cream. When it dries down, I get more of the hazelnut with the pepper in the background, but it's not a distinct hazelnut aroma at all- mostly a nutty element. On clothes, I get a little more of the pear and floral notes, but they are not notes I can immediately identify. On my skin, I get mostly the creamy, spicy, hazelnut mixture.

I do not like the original La Vie Est Belle. I think it's the patchouli in the original fragrance that really irritated my nostrils and ruined the true sweetness of the other elements for me. In LVEB Intense, you get a similar sharpness from the pepper, but it's not nearly as intense and is nicely blended with the cream. I agree with the idea that this would be better named La Vie Est Belle Cashmere because it really creates a warm, cozy atmosphere rather than providing a leveled up version of the original. I think I will really enjoy this in Fall/Winter, but I will still enjoy it as a bedtime scent for now.

Me memes

A burst of sweet freshness in the beginning and then, dries down to a soft, warm, sensual creaminess. It really does last.

Fuchsianlavender

I have this, Girl of Now and Angel Muse. To me, this one is closer to Angel Muse EDP than Girl of Now. Plus, both have hazelnut cream in their notes. I think this one smells like Angel Muse without vetiver and with a lot of syrupy sweetness added to it. It is more feminine compared to Angel Muse. If you had tried Angel Muse and prefer it to be more feminine and sweeter then you should try this.

Edit: I bought La Vie Est Belle EDP after I bought Intense version, The LVEB EDP does smell like Intense version but the Intense version is creamier and maybe tiny bit less sweet but it is still syrupy sweet. I like the Intense version better because I like whipped cream note in perfumes. Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Essence, Ariana Grande Cloud, Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy Sucre and La Vie Est Belle Intense are all my favourite perfumes because the whipped cream note make the perfumes smell so delicious.

lnoskin

When I first sprayed this, like others, it reminded me a lot of girl of now (which I have a full bottle of). However, when I did a side by side comparison, it wasn't as identical as I anticipated. This is sweeter and more nutty. I actually think that might prefer this to GON. However, they are similar enough that I don't need both in my collection. But this is for sure my favorite LVEB flanker.

Edit: It takes about 30 minutes to start smelling similar. I have also noticed that 30 minutes later, the GON is more powerful. I cannot speak to longevity because I sprayed these right before going to bed. But I can at least follow up on if I can smell them 8 hours later.

Just1ice

I enjoy wearing this on cold days in winter or or cooler nights in the summer. To me it has a very similar DNA to Elie Saab's Girl of Now. I own both, and even though they feature different nuts, I find them so similar that both aren't needed in my collection. After this bottle is used up, I'll probably stick with GoN since the pistachio note isn't very common in the fragrance world.

DrRosie

I thought the original one was missing something for me. I had it for two years and only used it once. I sold it just to get rid of it. I just purchased the Intense version, it is 10 times better than the original version. Layering this with the body cream and body oil will take you to a new dimension. The perfume is great, awesome smell, last on my skin for well over 6 hours. This is a little to potent for the summer, I am planning on wearing this in the spring and fall seasons. In my opinion this fragrance is ageless, anyone can rock this. Simply wear it for you and not for anyone.

me.and.mrs.jones

Gorgeous fragrance. I find it interesting that its called "INTENSE". I feel that it should be called LA Vie Est Belle "CASHMERE" instead. To my nose, its lighter than the original. It doesn't smack you in the face like the original and its more soft and round. It definitely has nutty undertones which you can really smell in the dry down. I own both (because I'm obsessed with La Vie Est Belle) but I truly think you can get away with having either one.Depends on whether you want more sweet roundness or if you prefer a stronger patch/iris note.

This one is just as beautiful as the original but more creamy, round, sweet and nutty.

If sweet long lasting fragrances are your thing, please don't even hesitate to add this gem to your collection.

Just a little joke: So far I own three of the flankers and on my perfume tray, I can't help but notice how they look like a singing group, with their matching silk scarves around the bottle necks. I think I'll call this group... La Vie and the La Belles haha

Wow, you have to be careful with this one. I know the original is quite polarizing, and this one takes everything that made it so controversial and kicks it up a notch. The first spray was incredibly harsh and synthetic, but once the alcohol evaporates and it settles a bit, LVEB EdP turns into a weird, intriguing creature. I agree with the reviewers who cited the "whipped cream" note as the most prominent: there's an intensely sweet aerosolized sugar note that is almost nose-burning if you smell too closely or too deeply. On top of that is a highly powdery iris and spicy-nutty-gourmand hazelnut, both of which round out the whipped quite nicely. For me, these essentially override the other listed notes, although the tuberose and pear do eventually make an appearance. On the whole, this is a congenial, effusive fragrance. It's almost too aggressive, but from a distance, it's quite lovely. It's that office coworker lady who's always a bit too friendly and insists on hugging everybody at the holiday party, but who actually means well and is sweet if you strike up a conversation. Weird analogy, I know, but that's my impression. Certainly more on the feminine side, devastatingly gourmand and warm, and very powerful. I would never ever wear this in hot weather, but fall, winter, and early spring would work. Pretty versatile in terms of age range.

Lexiilou91

I’m really disappointed in this one, maybe I got bad one but it doesn’t smell as sweet as the original LVEB. Wish it would I definitely like the original one way better

Sanitta

STUNNING!!! Beast mode, one of my all time favourites. Love the original LVEB as well♥️

Sreza7

I really like this. Thank god there is no patchouli note in this. That’s why i hated the original and the fact that it’s so popular. But this one is special. Sweet iris/tuberose and hazelnut whipped cream. Smells so classy and womanly. This opens up kinda weird. Very peppery and clean. Idk how else to describe it but it quickly goes to the heart which is sweet and woody hazelnut. Some florals like orange blossom come through. The dry down smells just like Ralph Lauren Woman.

PerfumeJunkie2b

Upon the initial spray, I immediately think “I’ve smelled this before 🤔”. I don’t know if anyone else agrees, but this smells like a more intense version of Hermes L’ambre des Merveilles to me. I like L’ambre so I like this as well, lol. I found the original La Vie Est Belle to smell nice (the scents of the two are completely different in my opinion), but i find it to be cloying & headache inducing. I don’t have that issue with this fragrance as long as I don’t over spray.

jenniferg0924

La Vie Est Belle INTENSE is the BEST out of the entire La Vie Est Belle line hands down! I tried this after Emmy Ever After on YouTube highly recommended it and i am so glad i did.

This is exactly how Emmy describes it--La Vie Est Belle and hazelnuts. The iris is very prominent like it is in the original, but this one has hazelnuts with a light whipped cream note with the iris.

I actually didn't care for the original La Vie Est Belle; i found it to be waaaaay too sweet and the patchouli was kinda sickly to me.

The dry down of this fragrance is my favorite part of it. The iris kinda dies down and then those yummy delicious notes come out and mmmmm i love it. When you first spray it is very much iris heavy with some citrus, then the floral notes come out (which are very settle), then the gourmand yummy notes.

This has amazing longevity and sillage!

DON'T GO FOR THE ORIGINAL, GO FOR THIS FLANKER. IT IS TO DIE.

LunaLoooo

I bought this perfume after I used Lveb original. O was at a concert las summer and a lady showed up and she smelled like tasty tropic deicious. I hold my self not to ask but I asked her perfume. She showed me the bottle. Than I bought the intense version. However I was disappointed by the smell on my skin. I cannot describe but my mom hated it. It smells so artificial on my skin and stays on surface. I thought it would be better in few hours but it didn’t. It is not smelling bad nor good I wouldn’t buy it if you don’t like candy sweet heavy perfumes. Sometimes if a perfume is a good one even it is heavy it sinks in few hours and smells amazing but i cannot tell the same for intense. Even if the original one is my favorite either but i would prefer the original one rather than instense. I am still trying to find my signature perfume. My favorite one was CHLOE love yet the perfume is discontinued God knows why. I would appreciate if you recommend perfumes like chloe love. I blind bought NARCISO RODRÍGUEZ poudree yesterday and waiting for delivery we’ll see!

1000_compliments

Have you ever tried to layer this with Light Blue or Light Blue Intense? I know it sounds crazy to layer two very unique and distinct perfumes, but I was trying to wear La Vie Est Belle Intense in the hot and humidb weather of Louisiana. I thinkthey work really well together.

LemonCake

I give up. Trying this one has been the last straw with gourmands for me. I used to love gourmands and I've always gravitated towards them in my choices, but after being consistently disgusted by a number of gourmands with raving reviews (Good Girl, Burberry Brit), I think it's time for me to call it a day and admit - dear gourmands, it's not you, it's me.

I hated this. It's greasy (quite literally it is greasy on the skin), it's sticky, it's cloying, and it makes me nauseous. Unfortunately, it also has monster sillage and longevity, so I wasn't able to scrub it off. I guess I am stuck with this bracelet of sweet mush on my wrist for the next 24 hours or so.

basmabaher

it is very special than the original la vie est belle which is very popular ..and if u do not like the original one u will love this surly ..also the hazelnut and the creme give it a magically sweet .. i am still using it in the important and lovely appointments only cause it is too special and expensive i do not want to waste it

TheCandyperfumegirl

I personally love this Intense version more than the original ‘La Vie Est Belle’.
At the beginning I get the Citrusy notes. After awhile I can smell the beautiful creamy white florals, powdery iris with the sweetness of hazelnut and whipped cream. In the end all I'm left with is yummy hazelnut and whipped cream and may be a little patchouli but that's not much prominent to my nose. It has the same DNA as the original but with a softer creamier nutty twist. To my nose it's a yummy delicious yet not so cloying sweet gourmand perfume.
It's more creamy and less powdery than the original. It's also less sweet than the original version. So If you find the original version too much sweet or cloying then you'll find it more in your comfort zone cause in this intense version praline note is replaced by hazelnut and whipped cream.
It's a perfect fragrance for a woman who is joyful, elegant, sophisticated yet sexy and matured. This Perfume goes with every outfit and every occasion.

Longevity- 10+ hours on skin and 12+ hours on clothes. It's extremely long lasting. On colder days you'll be able to detect the fragrance until you wash your clothes.

Projection/Sillage- This fragrance creates a bubble around you. People in the same room will easily detect the delicious smell once you enter the room. And whenever you pass someone you'll leave a trail of the fragrance.

crystalangela

I purchased a small size of this, and as someone who lives in a hot, tropical climate, my nose hasn’t learned to appreciate heavy gourmand fragrances yet. I ordered this to save for a trip to new york this coming fall where it wouldn’t be too cloying. I thought this fragrance would be something I haven’t smelled before, but upon smelling this for the first time I proved myself wrong. Its familiar, and it reminds me of that one aunt we all have who never married and is incredibly wealthy lol. Or maybe that’s just me but that’s the first thing that came to mind. I’m hoping I develop the nose for scents like these because it truly is gorgeous.

Sonyakaroliinaq

One of my go-to fragrances❤️ Love it so much and i would say it's my signature scent. It's heavy, sweet and long lasting. Definitely going to buy new one when this bottle is finish.

lmwimsatt

Wow this sucker can project! And that's admittedly saying a lot coming from me. If you are familiar with the original and the leclat, this smells like the 2 combined.... hope that helps. This is a a true flanker that is true to its name, it's original perfume, and its listed notes. Well done lancome!

MarianaR

Since LVEB gave me a headache everytime using it, had to change into intense. This is much more soft and creamy. Loving it.

GilmoreJava

@rissy200 I have both Ari and LVEB Intense. Thanks for the suggestion, I'm definitely going to try that out. I love combining fragrances, see what lovely concoction I get, lol.
EDIT: Just tried them together, and it's heavenly! They actually pair so beautifully together. Btw, if you own Mugler's Angel Muse, I've layered that one with LVEB Intense before, and they're gorgeous together as well. :)

Gourmandlover

Wow! This really lasts a long time! 2 days ago I sprayed once on my inner elbow and today it still projects from that place on my longsleeve top. I can smell it myself all day, but my dad said he could smell something too when I walked by. He sniffed the place and confirmed it was this scent. Amazing! I don't think it is really overwhelming, but it can be if you overspray. It's sweet and really satisfies my cravings for sweet scents. It also gave me a smile, because somehow I thought of spring and summer and all the beautifull flowers in bloom. That could also be because we had lovely spring like weather the last few days. Maybe it was the combination of weather and scent. This feeling of nice weather is combined with a delicious and longlasting gourmand base. I love it! Peformance in terms of sillage and longevity are excellent! I'm really glad I have it in my collection. I have an 1 oz bottle of it and don't think I will finish it soon, but if it's empty I would definitely repurchase.

I<3Perfume

There actually a new La Vie Est Belle En Rose. It's in a longer pinker bottle with a red bow. It has notes of Red Berries, Roses and Praline. In the ad Julia Robert's has a pink dress. I already have it. You can see the image on my default.

louiee

I like La belle vie and I loooove La belle vie intense.
Nutty, creamy, tuberose and powdery iris.
Feminine, gourmand and so much more rounded and soft.
A very beautiful and well blended flanker... I dare say its better than the original.
Im crazy about nuts in this one... succes on my skin.
For me this is very wearable.. for every season and occasion.
Longevity and silage is monster!
This is for sure a blind buy which I will not regret.

Blushpinkpeonies

OMG, I'm in love! This was a blind buy for me, and it is really incredibly gorgeous. I have a love/hate relationship with original LVEB because of the patchouli. Some of the flankers didn't work for me. Absolu was too sweet and strong, and L'Eclat was too floral for me. But Intense is perfection! It screams class and elegance. It lasts a long time and you can tell it's a quality perfume. A few sprays linger and project all day. Feminine and soft, Intense is so luxurious and simply divine! Such a treat!

dahrling

Yummy! Hazelnut and vanilla have been perfectly combined and bottled into this beauty. I love the original (which is pretty much just vanilla on my skin) for daytime use during fall/winter, but this one is perfect for nighttime - it's rich, deep, intense in a sensual feminine way (but never promiscuous). I love it! It's a perfect creation, and different enough from the original to own both.

martyna08

WOW!! Perfect! Rounds all the edges of the original and reveals it's true beauty. Definitely similar, but much better!

Catty

This is stunning! a PERFECT gourmand for me...oooohh Dominique Ropion, you make really magic with this creation.

It´s for me better than the original, which is by the way already good. Concering performance, the edp unfortunately doesn´t have a good longevity on me, but "the intense" lasts for more than 8 hours easily and projection too. I sprayed this gem on 8:00am to work and I could smell it clearly on 19:00h, without reapply it during the day!!!!!

Relating to composition, it´s unique, one of a Kind. The best flowery gourmand I ever wore until now.

'Intense' exhale the elegance and refinement of the Iris and the seductive attraction of the Tuberose, enveloped by a soft-cozy cream of chantilly and hazelnut. That´s why 'Intense' is so womanly beautiful and extremely elegant.

'Intese' is one of very few classy gourmand fragrances available out there.

Please, Lancome don´t discontinue this one!!!

umma toga

One of my all time favourites. It is yummy, rich and soft. So very creamy and nutty. It is the original with all the sharp edges and praline removed. While the original is syrupy and crunchy, this is deep and smooth. It creates a delicious cloud when sprayed.

colabama

In this case, less is more. This is a heavenly fragrance and receives many compliments,I love this!

dishcooper2

Cannot get enough of LVEB ... but this and the Eclat just did not work with my skin chemistry and just smelled stale and a little jammy on me. Loved the reviews and so loved the idea of them both but neither worked for me. Blind buyers be careful!

GilmoreJava

Ethereal feminine bliss!! Deeply fragrant, it envelops you in the most lush, creamy hazelnut cloud. Romantic and sensual is a fitting description for this decadent brew. As the name suggests it’s very intense and clings beautifully to your skin, so no need to go overboard with this one. I also layer this sometimes with Angel Muse, they work absolutely beautiful together. It is amazing - rich and sultry, with a hint of sweetness. And the staying power is beyond amazing. This one is definitely a winner! ❤❤

juniemoon

The first time after getting this, as is my custom, I gave this quite a few sprays and could barely smell anything. Even after about ten minutes, it was pretty faint. Kind of regretting my purchase, went about my business.

HOWEVER, about 20 minutes after initial application I suddenly sensed this glorious cloud of sweet, warm aura around me. Just divine. Hazelnut and whipped cream heaven.

And more than 3 and a half hours, still going very strong, that cloud still is surrounding me. Wow, I'm blown away and rarely said that about anything I have so far. Just gorgeous! Worth every penny.

Edit: Both times wearing it, got enthusiastic compliments from a man and a woman, so it apparently appeals to both sexes - nice!

I love this! Rich and soft, I get sweetened tuberose and a soft nutty Chestnut. I picture tuberose petals sitting in fresh cream sweetened with powdered sugar with gently chopped chestnuts on top. Like an edible floral dessert served in a Paris cafe. Romantic, luxurious, delicate. This fragrance reminds me a bit of Tubereuses Castane from Lancome's La Maison Line. I prefer LVEB intense because it has better longevity and sillage.

Soofiya

I've already reviewed LVEB Intense about two years ago but I HAD to write a second one
It's not the right time for this perfume as we're in the middle of a boiling hot summer and I'm in one of my worst modes possible, nothing could fully satisfy me but now I can see that this hazelnut cream-iris-tuberose treat was all I needed
I'm not still a true fan of LVEB edp( I prefer ten times Maubossin pour femme elixir to the original LVEB)but I adore it's flankers,I have the intense one, edt, florale and eclat and I love them all but intense has been a stable among my top favorites since two years ago and sampling over a thousand of fragrances hasn't changed it
There's no LVEB patchouli sharpness or praline-burnt-sugar-thing here,it's smooth and creamy.very yummy without smelling like a specific food,it has a balanced, subtle woodyness which balances it's sweetness, fruits are present only in the opening part and they blend so well with warm and deep creamy notes.iris gives it such a luxurious classy vibe and buttery floral notes, specially tuberose provide enough of feminity and sensuality
It worthes every penny they ask for, even now that perfumes are unbelievably expensive here and they're twice or three times pricier than usual thanks to Iran Sanction
Highly recommended
P.S: it layers very well with Angel Muse, also any creamy tuberose dominant fragrance

As others have stated in reviews below, yes, I find this a "smoother, less sweet, a tad more woody, calmer version of the original". I like original LVEB...but I LOVE this intense version !! The word intense is over used in the fragrance world...I would say IMO, this goes for this scent too...It is calmer and smoother..lighter..than the original, which for me is way better to my nose and chemistry...A must have/buy for me...and I will give my huge bottle of oringinal LVEB away to a friend. Done deal, I LOVE this one.

craftymaya

Of the whole "La vie est belle" family, that is, by far, the best in my opinion. It is sweet but not as cloying as the original, and it has less "floral notes than the "absolu"...that I thought I preferred. But no, this one is simply DELICIOUS; it has this deep creaminess, nuttiness and woodiness,.... just mouth watering! Don't let the "intense" word fool you, the original version is stronger!
Great sillage and longevity.
Nice gourmand.
LOVE that one!
Just LOVE it!

blanc.noir

I was hoping this to a bit more different to the original LVEB than it is, but it’s not. It’s very close with a slight tweak; nothing ‘Intense’ about it. I prefer the original because of that luxurious sweet powdery dry down. This one is actually missing that. Instead its got a somewhat sticky hazelnut creamer kind of scent. Still a gorgeous perfume, but I much prefer the original!

After trying several perfumes, I finally chose La Vie est Belle EDP Intense. It's ok, I like it. But I think it smells better on my seat belt than on me. Recently i just can't get a perfume that i really like. My first branded was a gift "Rose Cardin" when I was 15. Then followed Cerruti, Tresor, Amor Amor Tentation, Yellow Kenzo, Indecence Givenchy, Flowerbomb, Gucci premiere and many more. Now these perfumes do not impress me anymore except Amor Amor Tentation and Flowerbomb EDP. Can someone here give me few recommendations based on my choices? Thanks!!!

sarah.brooks

This parfum right here o my be ready for complements and everyone ask what do you have on it's smells very very nice I'm happy..

RobertaVal

To Feltface:

The recomendation for very strond scents is to spray in the air and go through the bubble of parfum.

karen.fiallos

Absolutely love, love, love! I am in love with LVEB EP since the first moment I sprayed it on my wrist, but I have to admit this big sister of hers is seriously 10 times better! More intense? I don’t totally agree with that, is more woody because of the hazelnut and the whipped cream makes it a bit less sweet and more powdery at the dry down when it really starts to smell more like the original, but in the beginning when that tuberose appears that sweetness makes it to me the most delicious floral-gourmand I have ever smelled. It is just as sophisticated; the sillage is apparently enormous although for my feeling it feels less overwhelming than the original, maybe because the patchouli on this one is way more balanced. I got a compliment immediately the first day I wore it to the office from a colleague who was sitting at least 3 meters away. He told me he loved the perfume someone in the room was wearing and yep that was me. I love it. I love all versions, L’eclat is also one of my favorites now, more chilly and fresh… I am happy they have so many flankers because this fragrance never gets boring, every single bottle is like a chameleon, just transforming for every mood you have. Honestly this perfume can be worn at all occasions, but I swear when you wear this you feel like a million dollars, like Julia Roberts herself wearing that amazing dress

JacquieDS

I really like it but it lasts forever....12 hrs and still going strong.
Its like La Vie Est Belle, but has a more caramel hazelnut flavor, sexier. less floral than LVEB
Its so good....
I only have a sample of this, but I will eventually get a FB, it’s that good,

RyShandon

If only my chanel beige had the longevity of this baby. one spray under your shirt on your chest....24 hours plus no problem.
gets creamier as the hours pass, not bitter with age.
definately a keeper, would not wear it every day. It is a mood parfum for sure. I like Samsara one day, No. 5 one day, and this the other day, and move from one to the other.

Nuitdenoel

This is probably my favorite of the LVEB line. It smells like buttery toffee and flowers on my skin. Gorgeous. I already own, and adore, Angel Muse, but I do not find these to have any similarities. The vet over in Muse makes it less sweet than LVEBI.

gena.frank

My dad returned from a business trip with a bottle of this fragrance for me. It was just a month before my wedding. I had been unable to get my hands on some Christian Dior Midnight Poison- I had planned onto wearing that on my wedding day since I was 17- I had given up and I was exhausted from all the planning. I opened the box of LVEBLDPI and it smelled mild, light, slightly floral and gently vanila to me. I tried it for a day and got so many compliments whrich I found strange because I CANNOT SMELL THIS ON MYSELF. I kept it away for the wedding and I'm still shocked when guests ask me about the perfume I used 1 year ago. Everybody remembers it yet I can only smell it for a 30 seconds after I spray it. What's going on? I hardly use it because I love to smell my fragrances throughout the day like I can with TM Alien or D&G The one. None of those get as much attention when I wear them as LVEBLDPI. help me make sense of this?

vattenmelon

it smells like cinnamon, a very disturbing cinnamon note..the bottle is like perfection but the fragrance....i cant stand it

kelkyang

My favourite ladies perfume. This is a delectable, creamy goodness that I wish I could smell all the time. It just makes me drool.

I won't pay too much notice to the note pyramid here and describe what I smell, to give a different kind of input.

The opening is a beautifully sweet, slightly sparkling cloud of creamy praline, white flowers and a nice powdery iris. I wish I could eat it. As it moves to its dry-down, it becomes far more understated (yet still incredibly well-performing), with a very stylish take on the gourmand genre. The powdery aspects subside, and the cream becomes very noticeable, mingling with a smooth praline.

Performance is excellent, with at least 12 hours of longevity and at least 6-7 hours of very good projection.

Stylish, lip-licking, seductive goodness.

Kath Grace

This sweet baby is a powerhouse! The initial hit includes the citrus top notes along with a sweet woody creaminess. As the day wears on, the citris and florals fade into soft, creamy, hazelnut perfection.

The first time I tried it was a very warm day and this fragrance was way too much. I tried it the next morning fresh out of the shower and it was a completely different feel. So freaking good that my stomach started to gurgle. Yes, this perfume smells so good I become hungry!

This fragrance lasts all damn day and night. This is serious stuff. Proceed with caution if wearing to work. One spray only!

Bonus! I do not smell any patch in this!!! Don't get me wrong, I love patchouli but not in La Vie. The original to me is unwearable because the patchouli puts it over the top.

guillermostf

i recommend for someone looking for something with long lasting power and sillage. Yes, La Vie est Belle edp intense (very intense) has both. hours of smelling good. And, it depends on your opinion and taste... I think that's perfect for any one. No gender perfume (JCE)

dovey

mmmmmmm this one has a personality of its own
far away from alll the other editions

the name is misleading , it's NOT the intense version of the original
as the original is pretty strong perfume on it's own

as mentioned the notes are different
This one has plum notes or prunes,
the sweetness here is from a hazelnut cream not praline or spun sugar this time :)
dry down is powdery

applestrudle

This makes me hungry, I'm sure chocolate bar is a note in it somewhere!

gaz525

Can't believe some of the reviews I'm seeing. IMO any sign of Iris is just swamped in a heavy sticky sugar!
Don't get me wrong, I really like it and feel it's abit more mature than some of the sugared up releases of late but let's not core tend it's something it's not. I get patchouli, vanilla, sugar caramel and a little praline. It's definitely a comforting scent and longevity and projection is fierce. A great line of perfumes from Lancome but let's just call it what it is shall we?

Jahzara

Delicious perfume! To me it smells identical to the original La vie est belle. Sweet but not candy sweet. And also powdery. It lasts the whole damn day and also the other day lol.
Im still debating if I should buy another bottle cause I want to try other perfumes. Only one thing I not like about it is that I can smell it on other people and its a popular scent. So its not unique perfume. But its definitely worth the money!

mrspowell

I LOVE IT!! IT IS VERY STRONG THO...ONE SPRAY IS ALL YOU'LL NEED.

shannonwheeler05

Initiallly, I get a lot of the pink pepper and hazelnut. I haven't noticed other reviewers mentioning the pink pepper, so maybe this isn't typically a strong opening note. I love it though. As time passes, the hazelnut and cream notes are much more smooth. The longevity and silage are wonderful- not overpowering (to me, but I love a big fragrance) but lingering in a sweet, warm cloud for hours, and I love that. I don't think I'm excellent at noticing iris soecifically, but I feel like it contributes to the soft "texture" of the fragrance. I would like to get better at picking out some of the notes that I don't feel certain I'm findiing.

This is definitely delicious, and I love it tremendously. I don't love the original LVEB for the overload of patchouli (in my opinion). I do, however, love the flankers and have the Intense, Florale, Legere and Toilette. I find them different enough to be worth having all of them, and I love the DNA they share so much. If you don't love the original, try the flankers. If you do love the original, I think you'd still love the flankers for the beautifully done similar thread woven through them all.

cher.horowitz

They sprayed this perfume on tape and tied around my hand on Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. I had Angel Muse on and I already felt sick and not anymore in love with Angel perfume. Just few drops of this perfume keep me thinking and smelling in all my way to Vienna.
Somehow in Vienna's Flughafen I lost my wonderful pale pink tape, and I totally forget it.
Around November I went to Muller, and spray it all over my wrist but it didn't smell the same way.
I guess it was one night stand perfume (in my case one flight stand).

gritzalimaria

this is the best LVEB.why?? because it is a real perfume. a very sweet, sexy, warm fragrance but so much better from the first lVEB beautiful and worth the money. AS PerfumeLoveKK said, she had a feeling that this one gonna be way different than the original and other versions, i will add: YES IT IS SO SO MUCH BETTER... <3 Actually, it is a serious perfume.

Littlegrassstraw

On my skin this is an iris bomb and while I do appreciate iris, this one is just too buttery for me as well as carrying on the gourmand-aquatic start from the original which I did not apprecciate. If you like buttery iris with a sweet gourmand background this may be for you. Not bad but not for me. The drydown is quite gorgeous powdery iris sweetness. And it lasts almost indefinitely.

dina

Well I'm a bit disappointed as I blind bought it expecting much more after reading all the good reviews!

On my skin, it starts off with a bit of a sharp acetone-like note, my guess it's the iris, as I get the same effect when I first apply Shalimar Parfum initial. It gets slowly sweeter but doesn't really resemble the original LVEB edp or edt. It's a simple sweet creamy fragrance.

While, longevity's rather moderate, sillage leaves much to be desired.

guachipiruli

This was a christmas present to myself. Very big BIG gourmand. Lasts on my skin 24+ hours, on fabric 48+. A total sillage beast wouldn't wear more than 2 spritzes to the office, 4 and everybody will know you are there.

I feel like a meringue-hazelnut muffin when I wear this... totally eatable :D. The powdery note of the iris balances the sweetness and makes it a real perfume. After a few hours I do smell the tuberose, the pear and the rosy pink pepper notes but it maintains its creaminess from start to finish.

Totally recommended if you are into gourmands but not the cheap barbie doll perfumes.

TashevaNikol

I am waiting for one.. Have no patience.

Rabiah

I am in love with LVEB intense. This is love at first sniff. It's the most comforting scent for me. The only downside-it's a bit pricey.

DrCarrionGirl

I don't own this but have tried it. I kept returning to the bottle and inhaling deeply. It is pure powdery, creamy hazelnut. Yum!!! I absolutely LOVE the fragrance - and love it way better than the original LVEB which is just too too much for me. I just wish this one wasn't so overwhelming and (cough) intense. I sprayed it on my wrist and enjoyed it immensely but was so super conscious that it is strong smelling. When I did this, I accidentally sprayed a bit on the cuff of my winter coat. Let me tell you - it has been a week and my cuff smells the same as the day I sprayed it and it now smells quite a bit like the original LVEB. I really do love the fragrance of LVEB and the flankers such as Intense and Legere. I just wish these scents weren't so strong. The sillage makes me uncomfortable. I never want to be 'that woman' whose perfume is making everyone cough. Maybe I just have to do the smallest of sprays ... I need to make this work for me!

missdeeblue

****omg im in a spin ****

courtesy of glamour magazine via a card sample just 10 minutes ago, I glanced at the advert at first, saw a square bottle with pink juice, immediate thought was MEH... im not going to like this, assuming it was going to be a sickly flowerbomb, then I peeled back the sample

oh my my my
speechless

now you might know from other posts, Im a die hard fan of oudh/smoke, so much so, that I often mix mens frags with oudh notes, with my gourmands, (for example 1 spray of YSL M7 and 1 spray of something gourmand to soften the smoke fume)

This is basically the above mix ready made, bottled

Why the hell is it pink? If scent were a colour, this bottle would be like the contents of a witches couldron...dark, smokey woody, mystical, a lady of the night, perhaps. I would put it in a black bottle with a flower choker on bottle neck

Oh I adore!

so does that mean I can finally put the cap on my M7 and store away? HELL NO Im gonna be embalmed in that baby.

But this?.. Yes please !!! its going on my wants list :)

Nicole79

Lveb Intense it's really good. I like it a lot . It's a powdery sweet and smoky fragrance , very suitable for evening, special ocasions or cold days. Love it !

nvenus

Similar to the original. I spot a descreet carrot scent...

iamoir

Don't know if I can pull this off because I generally don't wear sweet perfumes, but I gotta admit: it's gorgeous, simply gorgeous.
The original one to me is kind of meh...consider the intense version more proportionate than the original. Don't be fooled by the intense statement; it's not more intense. In fact it is a tad lighter, but still, warm and classy. Classier maybe. On me it's sweet boozy. I like it but I don't think I will buy it.
Wintery scent, sexy (af), sillage reduces as time passes, but it is long lasting. Well done Lancome.
It's heavy from the start till the end. The blend is amazing, I cannot tell the notes apart and really I won't even try harder, but I do detect, at least on my skin, a creamy iris combination, with a nutty hint. Seems the nuts aren't as prominent as they're supposed to be. Still it's gorgeous. If you happen to hate The original version, sample the intense flanker, you will be amazed.

LadyIva

This really smells like hazelnut! Although the top and middle notes are supposed to be fruity and flowery, I am immediately hit with the strong hazelnut smell, with some creamy vanilla. Only later I can detect the flowers (iris and tuberose). The scent is rather unusual and memorable, however in terms of projection and longevity, the original LVEB actually performs better.

miss_pearl

I bought LEB intense on an impulse, not sure about it. But after a few times wearing it, I'm in love. Cream satisfies my gourmand craving while hazelnut makes it deep. Flower are there to brighten the composition.
It's sweet and elegant, suitable for any occasion. it has good sillage and it 's super long-lasting.
I already own and adore the EDT and this is a close favourite.

Soofiya

I have a love/hate relationship with the original la vie..it was sometimes too much, too sweet, too intense even for me and usually there's nothing sweet and intense enough for me.it's also too popular, every girl has it and last and most important, although it's very sweet that's something in it that turns sourish on my skin, just like manifesto edp and I don't like it's sharp sweetness so although I almost love it on others when it's lightly done, I was never willing to buy it
When I first tried intense version in a mall,I sprayed it on my wrist and continued my shopping,I wanted to see how can an intense version of a bomb smell and I was pleasantly surprised
There are similarities between them and it's obvious that they are from a same family but I find intense version very well balanced,it's sweetness doesn't seem too much,it's less fruity and more floral and it's less gourmand,no lets say it's more gourmand but in a different way
Edp version accomplishes to be a gourmand by using too much sweetness and fruity notes, but intense version is a gourmand by using delicious notes(cream and hazelnut) and florals(tuberose)ofcourse there are fruity notes here too,I can detect casis and pear but there's just a hint of them and they calm down soon and melt in creamy tuberose and hazelnut cream.intense version is less sharp and more rounded,it's powdery and woody aspects add an interesting edge to it's deliciousness,it's deeper and more mature
If you're expecting to detect a powerful tuberose or iris or any if the notes listed here, you're expectations are not gonna be fulfilled..all the notes melt in each other and non of them stands out on it own but still, all of them.are detectable..this is a very artistically done fragrance and makes me decide to try all the flankers
It's a cold weather scent and although it's not as sweet as edp,it can still be too much in heat, longevity is more than edp,but sillage is softer(it's still strong)
It's ageless IMO in case that you like sweet scents
❤❤❤❤
Edit:
there's something in it's middle notes that I don't like.I think it's too much iris that adds a blust of bitterish powder to it's sweetness, but as it dries down I start to like it,I think I have to change my ranking from 4 hearts to 3 heart
I'm still happy to have a bottle of intense version, but I think my most favorite can be edt version
❤❤❤
2nd edit :
Today I wore it for a date, and now I confess that I adore it
When I smell my skin closely,I get lot of iris in the opening and it puts me off,but whiteout sniffing my skin,I could smell clouds of it surrounding me the whole night.I love it when I can smell my perfume without smelling myself. It's a combination of sweet and bitter notes and is a true masterpiece, much much better than original and not so similar.all the night I could see people sniffing me
Now after more than 5 hours, there's still a dense cloud of hazelnut cream which is to die for. So warm,so delicious, so unique and so sensual.
I give it's five hearts if I could I'd give it 6
It will be among my favorites and in my fall/winter rotation
❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
Love,love, L O V E

Seriously there is an INTENSE version of this!? Given they threw everything but the kitchen sink in to start with, and how strong the original is, this seems frankly pointlessly dangerous. Like covering a nuclear bomb with razor blades. This must be eau de napalm, I'm too scared to even try!

Moonsecret

Gorgeous! Strong; long lasting; great sillage!! Beautiful!!!

But I wish the notes listed here, were the same as on the box of the perfume, and on the Lancôme website - then I could vote on the wonderful patchouli! Beautiful patchouli in this perfume! None of the top notes listed here are there! (On the box it says: 'Concrete of Iris Pallida, Jasmine Sambac Absolute, Orange Blossom Absolute, Patchouli Essence; enlightened by a smile of fine delicacies.' And on Lancôme's website, that 'smile of fine delicacies' is called 'Sweet Gourmand Blend and Hazelnut Accords'. All truly superb.

Oh well!

Anyway, it's a GORGEOUS PERFUME. I absolutely love it!

BeauteousWonder!

Gorgeous. So delicious. Intense hazelnut cream cake. Too beautiful for words. Stays strong forever.

Pure Love

Absolutely divine!!!!

neshat

very beautiful scent , reminding me of loverdose red kiss
اگه ازین عطر خوشتون اومده ، حتما لاور دوز رد کیس از برند دیزل رو هم تست کنید

Anaïs_Anaïs

Such an interesting version, I like it more than the original one.

Midnight Fantasy

very very great and sexy perfume ...i am thankful to the noses behind it ..it is more sexy and attractive than the normal la vie est belle ...any men smell it on me gone wild and asked me about its name ...i am really proud while wearing this and i feel i am the most beautiful and sexy girl in the place which i am in it ...it will make u wanna make love with ur self ..too too sexy

Madrona

I smell this and upon first blast my instinct is "Roberto Cavalli EdP, is that you?". To me, it resembles the bubblegumminess of that perfume more than the original LVEB for sure. It lacks the sharpness and the energy drink note of the original LVEB, which to me is one of its defining features.

For the sake of really benchmarking this one against others in its class, I am sitting here with LVEB Intense on my left wrist, Thierry Mugler Angel Muse on my right wrist and another Roberto Cavalli offering, Just Cavalli Gold, on the left fold of my arm. All three are heavy on the hazelnut with cream, but they are all very different from each other. Out of these, I actually find LVEB Intense to be the least nutty. Angel Muse is still mostly Angel, but with an undeniable delicious hazelnuttiness to it. Just Cavalli Gold is heaviest on a very literal hazelnut.

I prefer this one over the original LVEB, certainly, but Just Cavalli Gold takes the creamy hazelnut cake for me and it is firmly rooted in my top five, not going anywhere.

beatrix75

Perfekt fragrance fort any occasion ,i love this stuff and I wear with happiness ,it's sweet but in a mature way and thanks God that not exist patchouli in ,instead the beautiful creamy hazelnut and whipped cream mjammmyy and its strong and long lasting really fabulous creation the best of lveb 10/10

raiza1990

I must say that i am not a big fan of this version.
The opening has a earthy/dirty quality to it that i do not like. it is also more cloying than the original version and somehow it smells old. I think the original was more luminous and playful, and i am missing these qualities here.
When the flowers start showing, it gets better, but i still do not think it is unique enough to be remarkable.
I think it is time Lancome stops making flankers of La Vie Est Belle and start giving us some new fragrances. The flankers will never be better than the original one.

Lola36*2

As well said my patron perfumer (jjjj Lito):), is a fragrance more than improved! My mother! It is much more creamy than sharp original fragrance. Round and with impressive durability. A real delicacy.

Lola36*2

Well, now I think that I need it :) .
There are so many sides that marea, but knowing my affinity for your tastes perfumers (Lito) I'm sure that something special must have... Buy it now itself!

Lito2

After several days of use I have been able to familiarize myself with it. Personally I think an improved version with respect to the original fragrance, that its composition was lacking I think harmony that Intense I have found. A scent sweet, but perfectly accompanied by many floral notes and the speck of dried fruit. It is a fragrance of delicious cream whipped with a plus of Iris and hazelnut. I think that I like more cold-weather, or for the evening. Of a truth that is a fantastic aroma, with a very good projection and long lasting.

Lito2

A newcomer to my collection... Creamy, enveloping and without the harshness of the original fragrance. It has extraordinary duration, a trail more than noticeable. A fine gourmand but makes note.

gillbert

strong opening notes with fresh-fruity-sweet bergamot, mandarin, pink pepper and pear. in the heart notes, i can smell strong, rich, milky, moist, and deep iris and jasmin. hazelnut and whipped cream are so deep and strong. very sensual, alluring, sexy, inviting and hugging.

EDP and EDP Intense were composing and sharing with few similar notes. talking about EDP intense, i say - this is the winner. sweetness is cutting down but lipsticky powdery notes is head up.

Finally, I found my La vie est belle edition. It's so funny because I truly disliked the sweet & sour combination of the original EDP as I have said (example: praline + black currant) and never thought I will find something closer to my taste in this line. Plus, I have connected this smell with someone I really hate.

Everybody loves the original but for me it became a bit boring. Lancome = quality and nobody can disagree with this. LVEB is a signature scent, mostly fits maturer crowds to my opinion (younger ones love bold things that's why use it that much) but Intense edition is just closer to what I like. When I first smelled it, I said wow! Exactly what I did with the newest Florale EDT edition. It was like a sugary hazelnut liquor that reminded the sharp character of the classic EDP one. You'll say: Hello! It's Intense edition with slightly different notes, why you keep talking about this here? And I will reply: Hellooo, it's still La vie est belle.

Straight to the review, I thought it will be love but let's say that Intense edition is my favorite one. Unfortunately, like with Florale EDT edition the beginning is impressive but then turns exactly like the first EDP. I won't say much about it's notes as I completely agree with what people smell, with the exact same order. (Hazelnut, cream, iris etc) It's amazing how the base notes are mixing with the top/middle just right after the first spray. Patchouli's dirty feeling is missing thank God. To end with, I appreciate that it's less unpleasantly sharp compared to the original EDP, way more balanced, fresher and natural. It's the most well cared from LVEB family and sillage/lasting power are just perfect.

mocha43

I purchased this as a blind buy and am very happy with it. It is very warm, creamy and I can smell the hazelnuts. It lasts for over eight hours on my skin and longer on fabric. It is not overly sweet on me. It has good silage for about three hours then lies close to the skin. I recommend all those who love gourmand scents to sample it.

prima.sandoval

me encanta, es elegante y no contiene pachuli que no va con mi piel.Tiene larga duracion en la piel

auroramaria

I have all versions of LVEB and the Intense has become my favourite one.it is sweet and ptowdery with a lovely gourmand tuberose very elegant and classy and when I wear it I get often complimented

j'adoremissdior

This is hands down one of the best fragrances I have ever tried. Beautifully blended, sweet, nutty, warm, sensual, bold.....everything I could ever want in a perfume.

This lasts for HOURS. I'm talking like...through a shower and everything. Lancôme really kills the game with the high quality of their perfumes.

I have tried (and loved!) the original LVEB and the Legere version, and I can truly say this one soars above them. I see why they named this one "Intense"; It's richer and bolder than LVEB, much less sharp and sugary. Replacing the respective patchouli and musk with a hazelnut base makes Intense smoother and tastier. It's truly a gem.

Last weekend I hanged out with a bunch of my friends. As I'm a perfume freak, I always look for new scent. That time I smelled an awesome feminine scent and I didn't recognized what was that one. Finally I found that my friend's wife had it. I asked her the name of the fragrance she told me that It was "La Vie Est Belle L'Eau de Parfum Intense Lancome" I got a decant and tested it for few days and here is the results. This masterpiece is a sweet scent with a lot of Floral and Gourmand notes and a bit nutty scent. The main accords are Whipped cream, Iris and Hazelnut. This magnificent perfume is a great choice for Winter and at night or in the evening. This superb fragrance can attract a lot of attention with its awesome scent and significant projection which is really long-lasting.

LadyPilot

Being a happy owner of the first La Vie Est Belle, after testing this flanker and a few others too, I don't think I'll repurchase the original anymore... This one is so much better than all the others!!!:D It's as intense but not as sweet and generic as the rest, it's long-lasting but not boring, sweet but not sickening, intense but not overwhelming. Nuts have overtaken the leading role of the pralines and toffee which ruled the original. I WANT IT!!!:)

ppetra-

It is somewhat similar to the original LVEB, but in this one there's something I really can't put my finger on. This smells generic, like something I've smelt so many times before. It might be all the women I met that has been going crazy over this.

On my skin, when I get too close to my wrist, something about this fragrance really stings my nose in a bad way. I really wanted to love LVEB(or some of it's flankers) but mehh. There is something smooth and nice about it, but that's all and I don't even know what it is that smells nice in this.

But here we can talk about mad longevity! It really last a long time and it is intense, on my skin it would not need any reapplications on a normal day. Sillage is fine, but does not live up to the longevity. I like the original LVEB the best. :)

Eri1985

Same as the La Vie Est Belle but stronger intense version. I like but I prefer the La Vie Est Belle..

ginawadsworth

My husband got this for me because he said it smells like a woman (as apposed to a girl).

Totally agree, modern sophisticated, elegant and definitely womanly. Silage is wonderful and long lasting.

What more could a woman want!!

Nikkafragrance

Simply adorable! It's creamy, nutty, powdery and so cozy for winter. And the sillage is much more decent than the original.

APassionateJourney

Phew, another new love for me, along with the new Marc Jacobs Decadence! This does smell like the original, but this scent is stronger and it actually TAMES the tuberose! For that, almost impossible, feat alone it deserves a medal! This is sweet but the tuberose gives this fragrance a different kind of depth. I had this one and the original EDP on each wrist and, while they are both STRONG, this one lasted well over 12 hours. The other bowed out after about 10 hours, which is also fantastic! You can tell they are from the same family, but they are different. The EDP is the playful little sister, but each girl is in her 40s. These are not little girls. They are both strong women. I smile every time I wear this fragrance. It gives me the strength to stand up straight and hold my head up high. I wear this one proudly with no apologies! Strong, heady, cloying, and I would have her no other way! La Vie Est Belle, and it is!

silsilg2

I feel a strong smell of lipstick . I do not like much . I stay in the classic

energia

I still prefer the original LVEB more than any other flanker. To me it smells too "been there, done that" and a little bit generic.

hyperfluff

It smells very similar to the original, just replace patchouli with tuberose and add a hint of hazelnut. I prefer this version after doing a side by side comparison with the original, it's more creamy and sparkling, and less woody....I also asked people around me to sniff. Some of them preferred this new version on me, and the rest think they both smell too similar to tell apart...I do think that tuberose here works better than patchouli on my chemistry, but it's not as prominent of a tuberose that people would expect...it's still more sweet and gourmand than anything else (just like the original).
To be very honest, if you were to spray this on me blind and then told me it was the regular La Vie Est Belle, I would believe you...then again I'm not that big of a fan of LVEB, so I never really paid much attention to the composition of the scent, even after having tried it numerous times from gifted sample vials.
So for me, the BEST version of LVEB is still L'Absolu, that's the only LVEB that really stands out on its own, and the only one I'll ever purchase and re-purchase.

Delila

This is a very bold but delicious fragrance with great sillage. You can get by with just a small bottle.

I came across it walking past a demo person in the fragrance department. She had sprayed it in the air and it actually caused me to screech to a halt - smoke coming off my heels - and backtrack to discover what the beautiful fragrance was.

As for *wearing* it, that may be a different question! My man and a girlfriend don't rate it highly on my skin ... yet to my nose the cloud it creates is awesome. I'm torn.

I've decided to have a small bottle on hand for those days when it feels like the right thing, because there's nothing else quite like it in my 50+ collection of fragrance bottles and samples. It's unique and, I think, beautiful.

Arlene-Beatrix

Candy shop. Nothing more, nothing less. I like it, but it is definitely too sweet for me. I prefer soft sweetness over candy-like sweetness in perfume.
It's not bad, just not for me.

Jahzara

I smell this in the perfume store and somehow I smell it was very fruity, delicious! It's on my list!

mirkamm

I don't like the original La Vie Est belle at all, it's a perfume I smell everywhere I go. And do I have to say something about cloying? But Intense version is awesome! It's a sweet winter scent with great longevity. I think this would be a potential Christmas gift to myself.

Alana J

I'll start this review by saying my mum has worn the original La Vie Est Belle since it was released and while I love smelling it on her it's a perfume I can't really wear myself because I feel it's too bold for my personality where as it suits my mum perfectly. Calling this new version Intense doesn't really make sense because to me the original is most definitely more intense. While they are both fantastic perfumes sillage wise this new Intense version is softer and less sweet (sweet but not sticky candy sweet). Definitely more fresh in the top notes and more creamy in the base while still remaining true to the concept of the original. The flowers in the heart are very blended together but you are able catching fleeting scents of each individual flower every so often. I think it's pretty perfect actually! This might be my Christmas present to myself this year :-D

SayakaP

They say they had 5000 versions while they were creating La Vie Est Belle.
I guess it's too early to get sick of "too many flankers". How many so far?

I love the original. Actually, when It came around I wore it every day without reaching for any other favourite of mine till I emptied my first bottle (30ml) and bought the biggest bottle straight away. This was uncanny ... Usually, "Which perfume shall I wear today?" is my first thought in the morning.

And I love this one even better. This is still LVEB, but softer & smoother. (I don't mean 'weaker' or 'lighter' here. But 'Intense' may not be the best name for this version)
There's much less Patchouli.
It's creamy, rather than sugary, without any sharpness.
I sense nice naturalistic Hazelnuts from top to dry down and it's so pleasing.
Also, it's lighter on Iris and other flowers are more noticeable than the original. I don't find it particularly Tuberose-y though.

*edit*
As the middle note Jasmin & Orange Flower are more detectable, but Tuberose is the Last Flower Standing in extreme drydown :-)

If you hate the original, you won't like this either.
But if you liked the original but was uncomfortable with Patchouli, you might love this.

I don't care how many million people wear LVEB. Everyone wears what pleases their nose. LVEB happened to be loved by many.

Lastly, the bottle is BEAUTIFUL!
The glass is purplish grey...

katiesantos

After reading many reviews I decided to buy a bottle of it.
On me it opens very sweet and sticky and dries down powdery and sweet.
It lasts long but the sillage is moderate on me, it is not offensive but I can smell it after some hours without having a headache.
It is far from being one of my favourites, I just can't find myself in it... maybe because of the powdery note on my skin. It smells a bit better on my clothing tho.

Adina Galani

Agree to Michmann, this has turned now little ridiculous, but it is all right, so long it pleases..... De gustibus..... :-)

Adina Galani

Seriously, was this one needed after L'Absolue? I don't feel any tuberose inn here, is the same and same, pushed little over the boarder, little lot actually. I have liked L'Absolue, till I realized everyone in Austria smells the same, of Lancome La Vie est Belle, flying to Turky some time ago the flight was all invaded of this and this only smell which means a best sold and I felt proud of my mature Aromatic Elixir making her way uncommon through the crowd, but I can bet in a bus where 30 out of 35 madams smell of la Vie est Belle, U won't be able to make out who has L'Absolue or Intense on, because that tuberose thing is a story nicely spoken on my skin at least, but not felt that way! I'd rather have added to the woods inn here, than kicking inn a trace of tuberose which can only, if detected, and only in this case, add to its headyness. Disappointed! Wondering what's next? Lejere? :-) or Very Intense? Or maybe "Pure"? "Hypnotic"? "Tender"? Awaiting! 2015 is not yet to end so one never knows. :-)

auroramaria

I obsessed about this fragrance since it was first announced and today I finally got my bottle.
What a gorgeous scent this si!!It is intense and very creamy sweet with a touch of powder, touberose and iris are a perfect match here.
It reminds me a lot of the Absolu because of the powdery iris.It is slightly less sweet than the other flankers but it is still quite gourmand.
I keep sniffing the back of my hand where I have sprayed some and my nostrils are packed with this beautiful floral sweet aroma.
It will be a pleasure to wear l'Intense in Autumn and Winter.Beautiful scent!

ScarlettX

This is intense, as I thought it would be. Sweet, but not just girly sweet or bakery product kind of sweet. It has quite mature undertone at the beginning. Tuberose has a big role in that.
Deeper and stronger indeed. As if original and other flankers weren't strong enough.
I enjoyed other perfumes from this line more, so I stick to my most favorite- the original La vie est belle.

scentnut

I had been waiting on this to hit the stores and ordered online I was so excited. I own Legere, Absolu and a mini L'eau de toilette version. The original is just too patch heavy/burnt smelling on the dry down with my chemistry. Intense with this version is an understatement! I sprayed once on paper in the bathroom and it filled the room AND adjacent bedroom! I also put a teeny dot on my wrist leftover on the nozzle and it was strong enough to smell plenty! On paper, intensely floral, reminds me of the original 80's Estee Lauder Beautiful (the tuberose I imagine). I used only half a spray on my wrist (outside this time), WOW this stuff is strong! This one almost gave me a headache and burned my nose a bit (peppercorn I assume). At first, oddly enough on my skin I got a little grape (chemistry is a funny thing) and the floral was not as overwhelming as on paper. The iris was however overwhelmed by the tuberose. Twenty minutes in, a spiciness came into play similar to the hours later dry down of the Absolu version (I liken it to a Cinnabon, the patch isn't "dirty" in this one). I get no hazelnut and the praline/gourmand is much weaker in this version (just enough to tone down the tuberose). I will agree with a previous reviewer there is a similarity to L'eau De Toilette though I believe magnolia is much prettier in that version. Overall I would recommend to floral lovers who especially love tuberose (it's quite prominent) who have been put off by previous sweeter versions. Exceptional quality as always with Lancome perfumes. One has to use such a light hand I'm confident a bottle of this would last a good couple of years! Beware, sample gingerly!

andabri

I don't like this. This smells like La Vie Est Belle but just pour in sour orange juice and normal iris with flat generic smelling white florals. There is a vague creamy sweetness, which tries to temper down the other notes, but I wouldn't necessarily have cream or hazelnut come to mind. It's kind of like... when you go:
"What is that smell? What is it?" And you get a little crazy trying to place it, and ONLY after someone says "That's cream.", you go, "Oh! Yes, I can see that now."

Drydown is that similar musky, floral perfume that the original has.

nena18sept

mmm I just got LVEB eau de parfum this past Friday and NOW they have a new one!!!!!!!!!!!MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS >.< and with all these good reviews I just want to buy it like right now ugh! well i'll have to wait until I go at least half of the bottle , I can not be spending money like that every week :P

genny17

Great scent!! It isn't as gourmand as the original edp, it is more floral, with a soft floral oriental vibe, whereas the edp is more bold and sweet.. That flanker has its own character though, and it stands on its own, with a beautiful tuberose, mixed in nicely with the tlang ylang..it isn't intensely floral though, but the vibe is more floral..it isn't hugely gourmand either...it is basically a beautifully crafted floral, with hints of sweet notes, and the base warm and attractive..my favourite though is Absolu, with its creamy niche quality Iris, I must say Intense is seductive, happy to own it, utterly feminine, warm, and stylish..with nice longevity.

auroramaria

As I am craving reviews on this new LVEB I want to thank you guys for describing so well your experiences with it I can't wait to get my hands on a bottle of Intense!!

Musky4

Having just tested this perfume today, I completely agree with the reviewer below. Whilst LVEB Intense shares the essence of the original, the small tweaks and addition of tuberose and hazelnut make a real difference. Out of the original LVEB and all the flankers to date, this is the one I want to own. Yes, it's very sweet but not cloying or headache-inducing and it's so delicious smelling and gourmand that my stomach started rumbling when I smelled my wrists (and I wasn't even hungry at the time)! This is very luxurious and long-lasting. The hazelnut is quite subtle and not at all bitter and all the notes are blended beautifully together. This is LVEB with added oomph - Definitely a winner for me.

Soutty123

I was lucky to be able to try this early before it officially goes on sale.

You can tell that it's a flanker of the original but this is the lush and creamy full fat version. It doesn't have the slightly burnt note that is in the original.

LVEB L'Intense is the olfactory equivalent of a delicious creamy cocktail, or a luxurious silk scarf.

I intend to buy it as soon as I possibly can. I think it may well be my signature for Autumn/Winter 2015.

Musky4

For those in the UK, the national launch of LVEB Intense has been announced as 16th August. I noticed that the notes listed for this perfume on the official Lancome UK website are slightly different from the ones listed here. They are as follows.
Transversal Notes: Iris, Fine delicacies Accord.
Top Notes: Pear, Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Blackcurrant Bud.
Heart Notes : Orange Flower, Jasmine Sambac, Tuberose, Hazelnut accord.
Base Notes: Iris, Tonka, Patchouli, Gourmand Accord.
(Proper review to follow shortly)

Valy in the sky

I tested it and it's way more interesting than the original, long lasting and not cloying at all... a new entry on my wishlist!

Babygia

I tested it today. Yes,,it is very gourmand - hard to believe it is possibly at all .... But that`s true.
This frag divides every parfume community - whether you love or hate it. And i love it actually more than the original, wchich is too patchouly heavy. This flanker lacks patch at all, but the iris note is here more prominent.Very pillow - soft tuberose. Sunny, warm iris, drizzled with caramel and cream. This iris note is smart combined with nut note, it provides some kind of powderiness, but in this case it is very hard to speak about powder ,because it is primary a huge gourmand deliciousnes.
I love it.
Longevity and sillage- as by other flankers - huge. Use with caution in summer heat !

Hrisi

Hazelnut and Whipped cream....these two words are more than enough for a Must Try! :))))))
I need it in my top shelf, because it is thick and heavy (in a good way) with excellent projection and I'm tired of watery scents with no personality.

genny17

Thanks to Lancome for creating perfumes with punch and character, perfumes that do not evaporate after 20 mn,.there are several flankers yes, I find them all great, and I can't wait for the new one! True they are gourmand scents, but certainly well done and not the sweetest out there!!
You don't have to buy it of course!!! And this is a woman ' s perfume by the way

Michmann

OMG, sixth variation of La Vie Est Belle...please, stop this torture and ridiculousness! It seems that almost every woman in Latvia has this cloying and intrusive concoction, and still more versions are coming. Lancome should take a while and think about something new, something outstanding, not produce another sticky syrup aka wasp trap.

AveParfum

Am I the only person who thinks LVEB is incredibly synthetic and nasty (although I got so many compliments when I tested it)? Well I must admit I am very excited to try this intense version as I simply prefer the note pyramid. Maybe it will magically work for me better than the original.

Jasminalia

Sure, it's going to be ultra Cloying.
What's next?
They're going to launch : La vie est belle Super Sticky Extrait de Parfum

Babygia

Folks, seriously ? I mean - really really seroiusly ??? Someone here hat predicted a year ago or so, that Lancome would shot a plethora of flanker in order for profit . LVEB is such a crowd pleaser ( In good manner ),it had made sence. And she/ he not failed.

But... more gourmandy ? What the hell could they make more gormandy on this one ?
Don`t get me wrong- i love this stuff and i got it and wear it with huge pleasure. But this is such sweetnes ,sometimes it is unbearable for my environment.
And now- more sweetnes ?
OK, we`ll wait. I fear i will be one of the first victims- i`m on the list ;)
I sometimes don`t know why, but this cavity monster cries always my name....and i follow ;P
