Christmas came a little early for shoppers at Argos online last night when the store gave out a Xbox One huge discount by mistake.

The major high-street retailer accidentally listed the new Xbox One S Minecraft Limited Edition Bundle with a 1TB hard drive for just £89.99.

Despite Microsoft selling the new console with an RRP of £349.99.

Those successful with their orders then posted their savings online, with one user jokingly boasting "Ordered, money taken, just waiting for a cancellation email and refund now"

The deal was picked up by sites like HotUKDeals and widely circulated this morning - however, it doesn't look as though Argos will be honouring the deals.

An Argos customer representative on Argos's own official Twitter account confirmed to the Mid Devon Gazette that, "Any orders placed will be cancelled and refunded while this error shows on the website."

For those wondering the Argos website, T&C's clearly state under point '4.3 a' what the website does when it comes to pricing errors.

"If we discover an error in the price of goods ordered or reserved, we will inform you as soon as possible (e.g. prior to the goods being despatched or in store prior to the collection of good).

"We will provide you with the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled.

"If you choose to cancel and have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund."

Funnily though, this strange pricing error has lead to the site going completely offline.

The Official Twitter account had mentioned that the website will be offline from midnight whilst the team "make updates to improve your experience" but had also stated the site was aiming to return at 6am this morning.

Now, at 12.45 it's only just returned, though weirdly, the same Xbox One S Minecraft Limited Edition Bundle wth a 1TB hard drive is still showing as £89.99.
