So I just got a new revision jumper ezbook 3 pro from lightinthebox. It has wifi AC, a m.2 slot and a much improved touchpad. Still not a precision one, but way better than on my gold ezbook 3 pro, which is for me not usable even after all the tweaks. You can recognize the new touchpad by the mat rough surface (similar to the surface of all the keys on the keybord), the old one was glossy.

Some other differences: on the top of the screen there is now rubber (that goes all around the screen) sticking out in two places, so that when you close the lid, there is no metal to metal contact…Seems like a good idea. Also windows doesnt want to activate 🙁 . Will post more after Windows update is complete..

I noticed there is a newer bios on this one – fully unlocked. It now includes a power limit setting  (little late, we already have a windows tweak for this).  And it seems that it needs a different audio driver as the one from my golden first batch doesnt work nor does the backup  that Chris made(I tried to get equalizer working, but didnt do a backup of  the only working driver, so I  dont have sound now).  Oh and  eMMC is a slow one…I tried changing  eMMC Max Speed from “DDR50” to “HS400”, but I got blue screen when loading Windows (even HS200 setting doesnt work).

Any fix for Windows not wanting to activate (product key has already been used)?

I have to correct myself …indeed the new revision  has a PRECISION touchpad. With sensitivity adjustment, scrool direction adjustment,   pinch to zoom, 3 and 4 fingers gestures,… Really a huge improvement.  Also after Windows repair the activation worked correctly. I also managed to find the sound card drivers, so I am now   really happy with this laptop, the only fault is the slow mmc, but I will order 275GB m.2 80mm ssd to fix this.

    BIOS Version: JUMPER10x.P8.WP313R.NHNAUHN02

    System BIOS Version: 5.12

    BIOS Release Date: 08/07/2017

i think the new jumper ezbook 3 pro version with better touchpad is the 20+ August stock.

All laptops from the last flashtale Gearbest (135+ laptops) end august are the new ones.

i will check the BIOS version when i get it.

than i can maybe confirm this

Hi Joe, great to hear! Jumper listens it seems. Try the eMMC tweak? Or you have already done this? (Edit sorry I see you tired) Well, I recommend an SSD anyway as it really perks it up a bit.

Hey Chris, yes I am a bit tired … are you also? 😀 Joke aside…  I saw that behind the scenes video of yours, man you are sweating your balls off for us… 35 degrees C inside  – that is crazy. You should really start Patreon (EDIT: I see that you already did… good decision), I am sure you will get lots of support and after  proper AC should be your priority. Did you move to a new office already?

On topic: a noticed a few more changes from rev. 1 to rev 3:

    • power led does NOT turn green when laptop is fully charge
    • designed and full charged capacity are now the same: 48000 mWh, where before rev. 1 had Full Charged Capacity: 53000 mWh
    • the charging is a bit faster – especially when using the laptop It can draw 30W from the wall (only 18W max with rev 1)
    • fixed noise  (pwm) when screen brightness is below 37%
    • rev. 3 has a small removable latch on the underside fixed with 1 screw (for easy m.2 ssd install)

A fun fact: my gf is using the older Ezbook 3 pro rev. 1  and she really likes tabs in chrome. Lots of them. I found 9 chrome windows opened containing total of 233 tabs opened mostly content rich pages .. youtube, instagram, fb, ikea,…(adblock installed) And the laptop was still quite responsive. Of course chrome didnt keep everything in the memory, but loading random tab I selected  was almost instant. She did try ezbook 2 a year before and it was crap. So yes, Jumper is really stepping up the game.

    135+ laptops

Hopefully you are correct, my order shipped out on the Aug 27, 2017.

Wouldn’t mind a faster Emmc but I guess m.2 drives are cheap enough any particular well priced brands people are going for?

Yes, I did go ahead with one finally! https://www.patreon.com/techtablets

35 degrees heat is crazy indeed. Hopefully only a week more and I will be in the older apartment, bit run down. But with a new Aircon install! Yes!!!! Then I won’t have to suffer so much under the studio lighting etc.

Thanks for all the info on the EZBook 3 Pro, I never expected them to improve it again and again. Great to see. Without a doubt the best Apollo Lake there is now with the new tweaks.
