Laptop failed within 2 years

Laptop failed within 2 years but my first contact with customer service was just outside of the warranty period. Cost "estimate" to repair was £410, which is probably more than the latop would have been worth at that time. No wiggle room from customer service. No acknoledgement that a lifespan of 2 years is a poor showing.

Wish I had read the reviews about how unreliable these machines are. Dont buy unless you are happy to write the cost of the machine off over 2 years.

Garbage products - a shame 0 stars isn't an option

It's a shame 0 stars isn't an option, so you'll just have to imagine that's what I've given.

Bought a "top of the range" erazer X30 in November 2022, and in the first 2 months it burnt through 2 power supplies - at this point, Medion seemed pretty good, in as much as they replaced the PSU's without delay.

A few months later, the graphics failed - immediate RTB arranged, and after a few days the unrepaired machine came back. A month later it died again, exactly the same fault.

First collection was cancelled by some drone at Medion on the grounds that the picture of the laptop not working was "too old" - seriously, a picture of a £2300 paperweight has to be a specific age.

Machine was eventually collected after which Medion sat on it for a month - when pressed for information under threat of the machine being rejected as unfit for purpose, they eventually advised that they can't fix it.

Have been offered a significantly lower spec machine as a replacement, so obviously that's been rejected - pretty sure I'll be reclaiming the purchase price from Barclaycard.

Medion = Brilliant a+++

Had a desktop computer under guarantee go wrong, phoned Medion who right from the beginning were exceptionally helpful and ran me through some tests which didn't work. So they arranged! For it to be picked up and they would even bring a box with them for transportation. Well about 10 days later the desktop was delivered back to me in full working order.
This is the best return experience I have ever had- thank you Medion

Laptop

I bought an erazer laptop via amazon.

After a few months the screen failed, but medion collected, repaired and returned it free of charge.

After about 16 months the motherboard died and they've repaired it again.

Can't fault the customer service, but its a bit disappointing having 2 fairly major faults.

Still, I'd probably buy from them again because I the laptop has ran very well and you get 2 years of no questions repairs. Most companies you're on your own.

Don't buy Medion tech

Medion repaired my laptop under warranty. I thought it was great service. However, the parts they repaired then failed 12 months later (after the warranty period had expired), rendering the laptop unusable and losing all my data - photos, saved games, personal files, work data - the lot.

Medion claim the repair had not impact on the latest failure, though it is the part they replaced (hard drives) that has failed.

They subsequently charged me £120 to repair it again, which I accepted just to get the laptop back and working. It has since failed again, and now they want me to send the laptop back to them again so they can 'consider' offering me a refund of the £120!

Appalling service all round. Avoid avoid avoid!

Brand new Medion Erazer gaming notebook…

Brand new Medion Erazer gaming notebook P15

Straight out of the box cpu is in at 70 C in idle.
crank the fans to max (the sounds like a plain taking off) still the same.

After a few hours of use it crashed several times.

Sound is better off turned off because its so bad.

Upon further inspection seen that received a laptop with a battery with a dent on it.

Decided to look inside to upgrade, after removing the 20 odd screws that hold the back plate (ridiculous) its clear and apparent the poor quality materials.

Attempting to return...

Good experience so far...

There's a lot of bad reviews on here but I can only speak as someone who has had their laptop for two months. The laptop performs great, but after a month the charger stopped working. I tried to deal with the company I bought it from who didn't help, but within half an hour of emailing Medion themselves I had been issued a replacement charger. Had to send a follow up email to see whether it had actually sent but I've received the charger 8 days after initial contact and Andreea was super helpful and quick to respond.

After 2,5 years my laptop stops…

After 2,5 years my laptop stops working. Not turning on att all. It is high specification gaming laptop for £800. Warranty gone and there was a problem with motherboard. Medion/Lenovo service offer me repair for £150 (that's including new motherboard, both way shipping and all service). In return I received fixed laptop with brand new charger( in my old one something was loose inside). So in overall I'm very happy from Medion service, but on flip side why my motherboard gone down after 2.5 years? But service was quick and adviser who called me was very helpful.

Luckily only paid £50 for this on…

Luckily only paid £50 for this medion5005 phone on offer, its rubbish, started OK then one thing after another went wrong, freezing turning off at random and at one point became so hot and I MEAN hot! I could feel it burning my leg! Despite being under guarantee and under 3 year old returning it is s long winded process couldn't be bothered. Surprised really because this phone is actually a lenovo based product 😠 as the old saying goes " you get what you pay for....

Medion Communication Black hole

I ordered a laptop from Medion, which arrived 10 days ago. The laptop seems ok, but I am getting no service or backup whatsoever. Their phone is never answered, most emails are ignored and a complaint letter to headquarters has been ignored. I spent over £500, I expect my queries to be recognised. I am praying nothing goes wrong as other customers suggest that getting repairs, even under warranty, is a nightmare. Customer no. 230340432

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!! Bought a Medion Auto XS battery charger from Aldi. What a mistake!! Continued to charge until 15.1v and boiled the battery dry. Basic design fault. No 12v charger should be designed to continue charging to 15.1v as these do. Even Medions Dutch technical centre described it as 'crazy'. Medion customer service in the UK appalling. Dutch call centre staff try to help, but are hamstrung by the fools in Swindon who just want to evade any responsibility for anything. Got some recompense from Aldi whose customer service puts Medions to shame. I'm still £16 out of pocket, but Medion not interested.
I suggest others AVOID Medion at all costs!

AVOID MEDION PRODUCTS
dreadful service. they 'repaired' my laptop which had died (no power) after 3 months normal usage.
when received it back the box had been crushed in transit and the battery was split and leaking.
They asked me to send it back with royal mail, who declined it due to hazardous condition, then DPD same, then another courier said same.
In the end i am left with an unusable dead laptop and medion wont resolve it as I am physically unable to return the product to them.

Essentially, thieves

I bought a £2700 Medion Erazer laptop which failed after less than two months, and the customer service I've received since has been so bad it's outrageous. Apparently since I'm currently located in Mexico, there's nothing they are willing to do to help me - since they will only send and receive from a UK address for warranty service. Could I send it back and get a refund? No, that's only in "exceptional cases" where all other options are exhuasted.

Well, I now have a £2700 paperweight and no way to get it repaired - wouldn't that count as an exceptional case? Apparently not.

Faulty overlocker

When my overlocker developed a fault a year after purchase I braced myself for the usual hassle that comes with any faulty item. Not a bit of it. My call was answered swiftly, details of the fault were taken and a collection (including a box) was arranged. Within 5 days of the fault I was in possession if a replacement unit. Excellent communication at all stages.

Had my Medion 49"4k hdr smart TV now…

Had my Medion 49"4k hdr smart TV now for 2 years bought from Aldi. What with all the bad reviews I must have a rare unit that has got through quality control. My TV up to now has been working without a hitch, for the money I paid its been extremely reliable. I would imagine that the vast majority of these Televisions work ok and its usually the unhappy customers that leave there reviews. Remember 1st year you just take the tv back to Aldi or the retailer you bought from and then you get a further 2 years warranty if anything goes wrong. I paid £399 not as good as a Samsung or Sony but a lot cheaper

Medion 58 inch 4k ultra HD…

I ordered a Medion 58 inch 4k ultra HD TV from Aldi and delivered to my home. When first arrived and powered up the screen was found to be cracked. Aldi instantly sent a replacement no questions asked just photos for evidence. Excellent customer service. The replacement was perfect. For the money it cannot be faulted (360 pounds and delivered free) and the picture holds its own versus something that costs 3 times as much. Blacks are black enough, colours excellent and refresh rate brilliant for TV/film and connectivity to all gadgets is fine. Only slight complaint is the sound lacks oomph. I therefore ordered a very nice soundbar and subwoofer. All in all very good.

Don’t do it

Don’t do it. Bought a new gaming laptop via Amazon. It died after about 15 hours of use. Despite reporting 3 days ago have had no response whatsoever. Fortunately I purchased via Amazon who have agreed to refund. I appreciate that things sometimes go wrong, but that’s when customer service should come into play. I don’t know what’s wrong with the laptop but it isn’t down to the power supply. The fully charged battery also not responding. Perhaps an internal fuse, but really, 15 hours or so use?

purchase made at medion of 2 pc and 2…

purchase made at medion of 2 pc and 2 screens confirmation of purchases by médion, payment made but supposedly not received, after two weeks and despite my phone calls it took 15 days to hear me say that the refund was made 7 days after need of stocks. So where is the commercial honesty of such a firm. I was faithful until now but there will have lost two customers and more....

didn't send items as promised

I purchased a refurbished computer from Medion which was delivered in a few days. However the package was incomplete (they didn't send the mouse, a monitor adapter etc). I called them 3 times and each time they told me that they would be sending the missing items out.

3 months later, I still have not received them.

V poor customer service... personally I wouldn't buy from them again - AVOID.
