Oxford Street's Julia sets the gold standard of in-store customer service

I usually prefer online shopping to visiting stores, but I had some time to spare in Oxford Street, so I thought I'd go to the Mango store there to purchase a clutch I'd seen online. I came upon an absolutely delightful store advisor called Julia who was beyond helpful in attempting to locate the clutch I wanted. Unfortunately the clutch was not in stock, but Julia found a lovely alternative, which I ended up purchasing. Julia made my shopping experience such a joy. She was friendly, helpful and lovely and I wouldn't hesitate to visit the Oxford Street Mango branch again in the future because of her fab customer service. Thank you, lovely Julia!

I thought I was in the twilight zone

I went to Mango (Bullring, Birmingham) yesterday with my friend. Not long into looking around it became clear that we were being followed and tracked by the store assistants. I went left they went left I went right they went right. My friend is in her late 40s and a nurse, and I'm in my 50s and a grandmother, and nurse vulnerable patients in a hospice. Yet our whole being had some how alerted the mango staff to go on high alert. The one lady shuffled clothes while I waited for my friend, and told another lady to stay there. There was a security guard so really they could have done some work instead.

My friend bought something and I re-evaluated my life, wondering if I'd walked into the twilight zone. There were other customers but I guess they didn't look as gangster as me in my pink M&S chinos and t shirt.

We went in to a lot of shops after and Mango was the only one where it was uncomfortable to be in. Very silly behaviour.

Items get lost/sent to the wrong place

Not sure what's happening with Mango recently, but I've tried ordering the same dresses twice with home delivery and both times the website stated they were 'delivered in store' (with no details as to what store they've supposedly been delivered to). I needed the dresses for an event and doubt I'll be able to get them in time now.

1st time order with Mango - please avoid!

1st time order with Mango, dreadfully slow to deliver item after a delay despite stating 3-5 business days on website. No refund given for expensive delivery fee. Would not return as customer they don’t care about their customers.

Awful customer service and shipping…

Awful customer service and shipping been waiting a week for my order extreme delays in shipping no updates you have to find out chase them upit’s so bad.
When you contact customer services they’re unable to provide you with transparency or compensate for the inconvenience called. Just a shame the clothing line is fairly decent but customer services brings it down.

Worst web store experience ever

This webshop is unbelievably bad... I tried ordering something and it would dissapear from my basket, get added double without me asking.
The payment option with a credit card redirected me to their homepage !whitout the puchase and the basket again empty!
they really need to sort out their stuff... very very bad

Found a charge in my checking from…

Found a charge in my checking from them..I never ordered or even knew they existed..Called my bank and put out a fraud complaint right away.It happened at 615 am today,i was in the shower..
Called Mango,no help.Asked if i had an email or invoice #..Of course I dont,i didnt order it..3x's they tried to put through charges..Be careful,they are no help..I informed them that they will not get any money for the order someone made with my card..They were rude

Would give minus stars if possible, worst customer service experience ever, sent me the wrong order, returns policy terrible, by the time I had jumped through their hoops and returned the wrong order the clothes I wanted were no longer available... Avoid

Victoria Beckham jewellery is cheap and not worth it at any price

Saw the collaboration mango with Victoria beckham and excitedly got in early at the release to buy the gold plated necklace. Thinking it would be a piece to be proud of. It arrived in a huge box with a small box inside. But the box was bashed as it had been moving in this stupid oversized box. The box with the necklace was cheaper than the cheapest shop you can imagine. The bag was also. The necklace was not worth anything. It’s so disappointing. I’m annoyed at Mango and Victoria Beckham for this profiteering.

Terribile servive in Eindhoven.

Terribile servive in Eindhoven.
I retutned a pair of earrings after 1 day , paid 22.99€ and never worn because they were unglued. The woman at till, English speaker, complained a lot, pretending that was my fault and after that she processed my right to return them, without even say a word, not even good buy. Maybe isthe case to look for a job in which you dont have contact with customers.

Clothing is of very poor quality and customer service is very poor

I bought a pair of linen pants on April 23 2024 at Mango, Yorkdale shopping mall.
I wore them the next day and within 2 hours of wearing them, the fabric in the seat had stretched as well as in the crotch and the knees. These pants looks so bad and i will never wear them again.
I tried calling the store several times and left 2 messages. I have not heard back from them to date.

I actually went in to the store at square one (since this one is closer to me) but the manager would not assist as I did it have my original receipt, even though I had proof I had purchased them on my visa.

I would never recommend Mango to anyone due to the poor customer service and quality of the clothing

The worst customer service

There seems to be a common theme on here, as I would give zero stars if I could! I ordered a co-ordinate set (sand coloured) and was sent the completely wrong trousers (black, different style). Fine, mistakes happen. I went through the returns process, marked clearly on their form that I just wanted the correct trousers to be sent. Maybe a week later I receive an email that my refund has been processed. My first thought is okay, maybe they are out of stock, check the website and what do you know, in stock! So I contact Mango on X and ask them to help as when I ordered I had used a discount code and didn’t want to be out of pocket for their mistake. I have never witnessed such terrible customer service! For one they don’t sign off with names which I think is very poor, but then they just kept quoting their terms to me and how exchanges aren’t guaranteed. I ended up emailing a complaint, hoping they would be better - how wrong I was! Alexandra O responded on a no reply email (helpful) to say she couldn’t give me free delivery (which I had previously as ordered over £30 but wouldn’t get this time) because their system won’t let them (I call bull) but they would escalate to see if I can get my discount but this isn’t guaranteed. Now almost a month later an no response. I struggle to understand how a large company has such terrible service or how they are still going.

Returns are awful since they started…

Returns are awful since they started using Rebound. Just let the customer print their own return label or enclose a preprinted one, preferably UPS or Fedex not USPS. Why make people queue at the post office just to print a label, not to mention the fact that many people say the QR Code does not work or the post office charges when it's supposed to be free.

Awful experience

Awful experience. I requested for the goods to be delivered to the shop as it states a 3-5 delivery and i needed the stuff for an event. Goods after 7 days still haven't been received and with no delivery date in site. The store is unhelpful, the customer service online chat is even worse with some of the rudest and most deliberately unhelpful agents I've ever spoken to. Not to mention argumentative.

Can't cancel as good aren't delivered but haven't left the warehouse, but also unable to now get to that store so stuck out of pocket with no goods. unacceptable in my option.

Delays happen that i can accept that but lack of communication is not helpful, nor acceptable for a company of this size.

Still waiting for my refund 3 weeks…

Still waiting for my refund 3 weeks later, the tracking says collected but it hasn't yet been delviered back to Mango. I have no way of contacting them, chatbot is useless and all my calls have been dropped.

Bad quality not fit for purpose

I have bought things from their high street shops which I have been happy with (hence 2 instead of 1 star!) so I was very disappointed after buying 2 pairs of trousers which both turned out to be awful.
One which I could put down to preference (horrible material that just hangs extremely badly and impossible to iron) but the other when as soon as I washed them (in 30c normal wash) ended up with the colour fading in various places so ended up all patchy and unwearable. Unfortunately this happened after the 30 day return window so nothing I could do.
I wanted to review the products to warn others but unusually you can't seem to do that so thought the next best thing was putting something here!
I would add that although these were in the sale, they were both originally in the region of £50-£60 each so would expect better!

Returned online purchase

Online purchase that was returned. Return was processed, the courier picked up the package, but I haven't received any tracking number. The return was made from Romania to Spain! Shouldn't be considered a location in Romania for the return?! I have to wait for the refund 1 month, at least! Worst experience of online purchase!

The customer service and website…

The customer service and website support is disappointing because I actually love the clothing and accessories from Mango. The last agent I dealt with was not helpful at all. I also recently purchased a purse, that is now tethering at the bottom (outside) of the bag. I don't know if the quality of the products are going down as well.
