Scarlett Keeling's mum talks about her daughter's death

A mother from Devon has travelled to an Indian court, to find out who is responsible for the death of her 15 year-old daughter.

Scarlett Keeling was raped and murdered on Anjuna Beach in 2008, in the care of her 25-year-old tour guide Julio Lobo, while the rest of her family went travelling.

Since then her mum Fiona McKeown has been trying to get justice for her eldest girl and expects a verdict in Goa tomorrow.

She told BBC 5 live’s Emma Barnett about the guilt she’s felt since her daughter’s death.

“Of course I blame myself but I didn’t murder her. I never pushed her face into the sand and drowned her.”
