Better than the Fire Stick, though a little more expensive. (Amazon Prime Users only - Normally £79.99).
Main benefits over Fire Stick:
* Voice Remote as standard
* H.265 support (Stick only supports H.264)
* USB port for USB mass storage (to watch movies/play music) or to plug USB keyboard/mouse/wireless dongle to control Kodi and other apps etc.
* More RAM (2GB) to play full 1080p videos smoothly (or even 4K as per the name!)
* SD Card slot for extra storage (though admittedly only really useful if you pop your own files e.g. movies/music on it)
* Wireless tends to be more resilient (less random signal drops, but that may just be my personal experience)
I'll leave the rest to the Amazon description, but its a very good piece of kit that I actively use everyday (and yes it does Kodi....very very well :-P)

It doesn't. Only the BT Ultra HD Sports channel broadcasts in 4K which requires the UHD YouView box and needs to be wired to your Home Hub.
Great price for this box - superb for 4k on Prime, YouTube and Netflix. I've also installed Kodi, Mobdro etc on mine without issue.

Anyone know if its possible to get the Sky Go and BT Sport app working on a Firestick or Fire TV? I've just ordered a Fire TV (already got Firestick) for this purpose as I've got legit logins for both bt and sky go, but I'm not finding much up to date info

Sky Go won't work. No idea about BT though.
EDIT: See other comments below....seems I could be wrong on this!

Some users have posted that they could sideload and get skygo working in the fire stick thread. If this is true, then it would also be possible on the fire 4k tv.

Can you install a VPN on this without having to install on the router itself?

Yes you can. IP Vanish works fine on mine.

The lowest it's been before is £64.99. Though notice its colder this morning than shortly after I went to bed last night ... oh well hehe

i sideloaded sky go, and it was working (mostly, occasionally had a fit) but needed to connect a mouse to the box to navigate.

Great price if you wanted a Fire TV! :innocent:
Any one know how this one compares with the old one?
Which is a better buy for Kodi - Stick(£19) or Fire TV(£54)? I find the Fire stick a bit sluggish with Kodi at times.
Taking away optical digital form Fire tv is also a downer!:disappointed:

Cheers, purchased, using the £10 discount via Audible. The £5 discount for £30 of gift vouchers hasn't appeared but I'll use that on something else (damn you Amazon).
Hopefully should provide a slightly more robust experience with ServerWMC than the stick does.
