Same here... only just realised after I opened the packaging and stuck it in the PlayStation. Got the PS3 version. Might take it back and ask if it should be the Bale one, not sure if they'll accept it now it's open...

Picked this up from Argos over the w/e – got the one with the Bale cover. Liking the feel of the game, potentially better that FIFA, as the latter doesn’t really have that ‘physical’ feel of players and ball movement (it still feels like they’re kind of floating around to me), though still so archaic in terms of some of the menu systems.

After a bit of digging around the net I’ve found numerous option files to update things to the right kit etc…a bit surprised it’s still such an arduous task – couldn’t Konami have set it up so you could just import a single file that would correct all the various details, instead of having to do each aspect manually?!

Had some initial success, but not quite grasped the best approach to work through the editing. First go, I imported everything in one hit, but then got an error message that I had exceeded some limit on numbers of files?!
Next try is to clear the usb, then just try brining in the competition emblems, then when that’s done try the strips, then the crests etc etc etc.

If anyone’s found an approach that avoids any issues (I’m a little worried I’ll get halfway through, then have to delete a file and start all over again  ) then let me know…please!!

I picked one up for the ps3 today and it had bale on the front cover.

No worries I'm sure it will A lot. The custom tactics are pretty important on a whole regards game play

Don't know if you've checked your tactics prior to playing but defensive cover is set to play offside by default which sucks,change it to cover . maybe worth a try. Waiting for season tourney sucks but great fun when playing them using different teams. Rather than the daft same old stuff you get in UT

I'm in the same boat. Just looks like the standard edition, but the Euros pack is DLC anyway, so not losing out. A bit curious why I didn't get the Bale one too.

I prefer the career mode & building a team but I can't defend for sh*t, I knocked it up on difficulty so it is challenging, if I really concentrate I do ok, if I have a few beers its like watching (no matter which team I'm facing) Barcelona (computer) V Guiseley under 11's (me) - must be frustrating having to wait for online tournaments to open

Yeah I'm the opposite offline doesn't appeal to me in fact I've still not touched it apart from skill games. Online if you accept you can't always win. And stick to your game plan and stay cool. You'll have a chance. I used to play for hours but now a online toury on UT and I'm done. I like the online seasons tournaments but you have to wait for them to open :neutral_face:

Hi bought this today but shows Neymar on the cover which is the original when it came out. Does the new one not have bale on the cover or do you update the game to get euro 2016

The online game frustrates me too much, I'm reasonably good at fifa but some days I just get hammered game after game, I understand why people go through controllers so quickly, might have to try PES again, it has been a long time

I don't Play offline. Plus a chance to gloat how good i am that it bores me even online. Partly down to the games own fault. Why I have to wait for online seasons cup tournaments to open is ridiculous!

they don't have the licences to show real club names & player names like EA sports have (probs as they cost sh*t loads to get)

Cheers for the link.... I've not played PES 2016 for a while due to other games hogging my limited gaming hours, but just seen on the link that existing owners will have the new content as a free update.... so should be on my system already and I didn't even know about it. Nice.

Bargain if it does include PES 2106 also. This years game is superb and akin to the golden years when PES dominated the digital football pitch. The AI and player movement, even without needing to instigate a run etc, is fantastic and some of the gameplay brilliant.

Was a PES fan since #2, drifted to FIFA but fifa16 doesn't really do it for me...

Seems reasonable but haven't touched pes for a few years. Thinking of getting for the euros and for a new challenge as fifa has become a bit easy for me recently. But not sure if it's actually any good!
