It's a bit like what has happened to Man Utd, now cheap reduced quality under a brand of yesteryear

I agree (although one of mine still stinks) - my problem with this method is that you get a Blaupunkt and a Sharp TV that are the same thing, same casing, different logo yet one costs £100 more as "it's a Sharp" and anyone over 35 remembers them being a good brand in the 80's. Customers are tricked into thinking they are getting a better TV by buying a "semi-premium brand of yesteryear" such as Toshiba, Hitachi, Sharp etc.

I remember when Toshiba went hand in hand with quality, innovation and leading edge. Not any more. :disappointed:

First words uttered on a TV thread nowadays guaranteed!!
Nice calling out. Gotta say Pavel, your deals posted tend to always be legit and I tend to purchase! Cheers.

Surely the Panasonic equivalent is a better deal?

Which model ? What price ?

Why? Vestel manufacture TVs, other companies buy them with the appropriate badge stuck on. This 'Toshiba' will be the same as the 'Panasonic'.
I'm not against cheap TVs, I have an issue with the misleading nature of this stick on profiteering.

Just had a look at the manual and it's a Vestel, so should be similar to the Panasonic TX 48CX400B. Manual: http://www.argos-support.co.uk/ctrl-data/uploads/files/4484811_D001.pdf
