Reserved yesterday and picked up today at Glasgow Stockwell Street Argos. Still showing 19.99 when you search for it in store. Came with the Vegas keys as well which I was chuffed about, assuming it'll just depend if they have older copies of the game still lying about. Cheers!

Could someone answer a few questions for me please, tried Googling but no luck - I'd like to know if you can play the game with just 2 of you in a team, or do you have to go online and make the numbers up to say a minimum of 4/5 with other strangers?

Terrorist hunt is multi-player or lone Wolf, only single player only mode is the training mode

23 Mar 162#53
Anyone having doubts about buying this... dont. You will love it. I havent enjoyed a game this much since cod 4. Alot of dlc coming up in the future too and all of it is free. The game is very active also so dont worry about that.
kwanzee
23 Mar 16#52
I said "essentially"... In my opinion, those modes aren't the core of the experience. Not going to get into a pointless argument with you. Sayonara.

WRONG. Situations & Terrorist Hunt are OFFLINE SINGLE PLAYER

How would a quiet multiplayer mean that Argos reduce the price? It's a stock-shifting exercise for an older title.
Other games have been released since that have cooled its sales down, e.g. Just Cause 3, The Division.
TrickieNickie
23 Mar 16#49
Yeah I'm not really a huge fan of ubisoft games. Watchdogs is just a high tech reskin of assassins creed which is the same release every year. I have to say I'm enjoying the division though, not sure how long it will last

Quality game, multiplayer only essentially but that's not necessarily a bad thing  Probably played like 50 hours and still playing it with friends.

23 Mar 161#46
The division is a grinding type game with IMO not very intense gameplay or skill required, I loved RS:Vegas 2 myself and this is everything that game was and a lot more. Matches need proper skill and teamwork, light night quick reactions and very realistic a few shots and your dead, makes for a very intense game and brilliant.

I want to pick this up but this price is so cheap it makes me think people have abandoned it. Also worried that anyone still playing are too good and won't get a chance to enjoy.

23 Mar 16#42
Agreed , When I first heard and read reviews , I thought No this game is not for me , because I don't have a team of friends with the same game....but the Match Making works so well , you will of course get the odd idiot come in and spoil things with non-accidental team kills , but once you are over level 20 , you can play "Ranked Games" which tend to more of the serious players.
One thing I did straight away , once I got the game , I went into the settings on the ps4 version and put the V-Sync on , as I always do on my PC games , but it is not a good idea , as it sets the Terrorist hunt and training mode to work at 30 FPS , Multiplayer , still works at 60 FPS , but the V-Sync is not really needed at all , Leave it off and you will get a steady 60FPS with a little bit of tearing during training mode and Terrorist hunt...

It's refreshing to have people actually chatting in game. I had a rather funny if annoying death with one of those bloody robot camera thingys, i was following one trying to shoot it, it went up some stairs into a room and bang someone shot me from the bloody window lol, teamwork at its best for them but not me!

Its crazy addictive this game, i just keep telling myself "just one more game', really fun and tense when you have a good team playing and play the objective, doesn't get old either, as you play longer you develop new tactics and learn new ways to approach things, e.g.. hair line exposed nooks and crannies. Add me on PS4 - 'Vonkaar' if anyone wants a good game

Depends , if the game is a european import , some bar codes can differ , some games offered at a cheaper price often from online sellers will have saved a few pounds when purchasing , I had 2 copies of a game , one from the games collection and one from Tesco....both codes where different on the back...

Should be fine, Both the Amazon and Game description of the game says "offer (that includes the codes)will end on the 1st of December 2016".
The Vegas 1 & 2, codes themselves has no expiry date on them.
dazzyp
23 Mar 16#19
You can do this, as all barcodes for a title are the same, obviously it depends where you get it from though (Game has their stickers on, etc).
Highly recommend as Just Wondering mentioned, gets very tense at times, encourages you to play with a winning team as you don't really get much xp and renown when u lose. So you need to send friend requests out with good players really.

Couple of things worth knowing, new content out in a few weeks, new map and operators.
But do yourselves a favour, unless it drops in price, forget the season pass (valid for one year only) it's way over priced at 24.99, only thing it really offers is all the operators, unlocked and one week early access to new DLC.... Nothing else.
Excellent game though, a real tense, action, thriller

because it is multiplayer only game. it is quite specific not like BF or CoD so players base is quite limited. to keep game alive they have to keep influx of new blood hoping to them to keep playing.
