Is the bass any good? My TV speakers are goosed. Almost bought the LG soundbar from Argos but reviews said the bass was non existent, so thought I'd ask what these ones are like

120W of TV sound for £40. No it's not going to be Sonos. It's 120W for £40 though!

You'll want one with an integrated (or seperate) sub, if you're looking for deeper sound. These aren't really any better than speakers a decent TV has already, bit louder maybe.
Aye, I know I'll need something with a sub for better sound. Just looking for something to replace my TV speakers but I don't want them to sound too tinny haha

Is 100w pretty good? I'm in the market for also, but needs to be loud enough to hear above my kids.

Yeah 100w should be fine, unless you're also planning on keeping them awake all night.

I bought this when it was on HUKD a few months ago.
Good points - good quality sound, not too much bass. Bluetooth. Optical connection. Small, basic, easy to use remote. £40!!
Not so good - has a bright red 'on' light, which is right in the middle of the soundbar, when powered on (why it's red, is anyone's guess). When adjusting volume up/down, there's no display/indicator as to what level you are at - you just have to find a pleasing level.
Other than that, does the job - it's £40 at the end of the day.

This might be an uninformed question, but I've recently bought one of these - what's the best method for connecting to my tv? I only seem be able to do it using the headphone socket on my tv, with the rca jacks connected to the Soundbar.
I had thought the two rca jacks should be connected to the tv and the 3.5mm jack connected to the soundbar- but nothing seems to work when I try this. Any advice?

You'll want oprical really. But, red & white to the soundbar, and 3.5mm into the headphone socket on the tv will do the job if your set doesn't have one.

Anyone have any idea why it turns off every 15 mins enough though sound is coming through it?

that's because of Eco mode. just turn the tv sound down abit more and sound bar up. I found that I had that problem with the audio jack and rca but was fine with the optical
