Argos description says
"Store up to 64GB with the microSDHC memory card. With a read speed of 30MB per second, this memory card also includes a microSD adaptor to convert to SD size for compatible devices."
In the details, it states
"microSDHC memory card.
64GB capacity. Read speed 80MB per sec.
Includes microSD adaptor to convert to SD size, for compatible devices."
contridicting information. Listen to guys who bought it.
Actually, if only need 64GB, 7dayshop is better and cheaper at £11. Faster in write.
Sandisk Ultra 19/82
7dayshop 29/73
The read reach 70/80MB/s the difference you will not notice much. Write between 29 and 19, still 1.5 times speed of Sandisk Ultra.
If need 128GB, go for the 80MB/s Sandisk Ultra. 7dayshop does not do 128GB.

Yeah he's wrong, you only have to read the full spec on Argos to know its the newer model, "Read speed 80MB per sec"

So the 'old version' (48MB/s) is the one prone to errors and the one packaged as upto 80MB/s is the one not having that notoriety? fwiw altho you say "It is for the new model 80MB/s, not for OP's deal" I have got an upto 80MB/s card from this deal. (SDSQUNC-064G-GN6MA).

Good to know.
I do not need any micro sd.
Just out of interest to know its speeds, I have used so many of them.

The test is from a SanDisk Ultra 80MBps U1 from Argos. You could get the same one today, if that's what stock they have.

That speed is not bad. It is much faster than the old version, at least twice.
Sequential write: Sandisk Ultra old version < Kingston < Sandisk Ultra 80MB/s < Samsung Evo < Samsung Evo Plus < 7dayshop
Sequential read: Sandisk Ultra old version < Kingston < Samsung Evo < 7dayshop < Samsung Evo Plus < Sandisk Ultra 80MB/S version
It is very good random speed too.
All card above are U1. I am not comparing with U3 which would be unfair.
Care to post the detailed sequential write/read speed of the 80MB/s Sandisk Ultra?

The 80Mbps SanDisk Ultra card do manage 80Mbps read.

I said transfer speed, which is read speed, these are advertised as having read speeds of up to 80MB/s, the old cards where advertised as having read speeds of up to 48MB/s, of course this means nothing in real world performance. I was simply pointing out that the old cards were rated differently to the new cards and were cheaper.
because if you don't have prime and don't order over 20 pounds u have to pay for delivery and then wait rather go to argos and get it today tbh

Kingston is better, cheaper and faster.
7dayshop is the best, only has 64GB available, not 128GB. fastest class 10, faster than Samsung Evo Plus, cheap too £11.

Pretty sure I bought this exact same card from Argos for £9.99 a few months a go. Cold.

I think you are right, I bought one exactly the same for my Lynx 1010 from Argos for £9.99 towards the end of last year. I suspect that deal will return sometime, so cold for this one.

That was then. Bear in mind the value of the pound has gone down the crapper.Get it while you can.

Was it this or the older model? they look exactly the same and have the same class except the older one has a transfer speed of 48MB/s unlike this model which is 80MB/s

Why? It isn't a good deal. It has gone up 50%, when flash memory in the long run is only going to get cheaper throughout this year and onwards.
£14.99 is just a pretty standard price for a run of the mill 64gb micro sd card these days
Ok - if that is the only difference and you can wait then I think the Amazon is a better deal...would sooner make up the order and save £4.....I only ask as I need one and was unsure which to go for.....I can wait so see no reason not to go with Amazon and the Kingston.

If this is old stock, good luck! These had really high failure rates-loads went write only, mine included

Samsung Evo Micro SD SDXC Memory Card Class 10 UHS Grade 1 - 64GB - 7DAYSHOP = same price BUT you got to wait for delivery! Unable to comment about speed differences but what I need it for (PC Stick) speed is not an issue. Have some heat!!

Weren't they available at this price (or near enough) for click and collect just before Christmas? I seem to remember seeing a deal for them on here, placing an order, getting a confirmation e-mail but then never actually being told that my order was in stock. Going to try again - hope it works this time!

They were £9.99 at Christmas, so if you can wait you might get them at that price again but if you can't, £14.99 is still a good price at this moment in time.

What's your definition of "a bit more"?? Not seen the 128gb cards (of a decent brand) for less than double the price of this - not to mention that fact that not all devices can take a 128gb card!

The photo in the description is an under-estimate.
It has speed of 29/73 MB/s.
As your link is to 7dayshop, you may not know that
7dayshop own branded card 64GB at £11 is faster than Samsung Evo Plus 128GB, I have both.
It is the slowest class 10 in all mainstream micro sd cards. That is how slow it is.
The one I had had a write of 9-10, read less than 40. I returned to Amazon as less than class 10 minimum speed.
If you care about speed, do not buy Sandisk Ultra micro sd.
