Well summed up. And its an 2DS at end of day, clumsy and looked like retro tech the day it came out.

They were sold out everywhere so i paid £110 on eBay, next day Argos and GAME had them back in stock at £80. Returned it and waiting on refund now.

Have some Argos vouchers I paid 75% face value for, bought 3 at £60 each. Happy days

2. will children of the current generation care about a Pokemon Yellow 2DS when they grow up? do they even know what pokemon yellow is?

Take this from me: I doubt this console will make a penny within a few years. Why? I've held on to all kinds of stuff thinking they'll make a profit - Pikachu N64, wonderswan, megadrives, rare Japanese games for the megadrive, Pokemon stadium (sealed) etc. None of them made a profit. I've even bought the FFVII japanese PSP which was limited to 77,777 copies........and even that didn't make a profit!! I gave up trying to make a profit a long time ago and now just buy the games and consoles to play myself.

After I picked up my collection I went down to my local Game store and noticed someone enquiring about the Console, they mentioned its sold out everywhere, I managed to flogg it off to him for £180.

​My adult son has been playing Pokémon for years & I'm surprised how big a "community" it is & growing all the time. Now my youngest is into it & her friends, so I think its appeal will continue. Apparently there is even a film being released soon. I'm not into games, so I just nod my head when they talk about it :stuck_out_tongue:

I think Pokémon is coming back with a vengeance with the upcoming Pokémon Go! game/app.

The game farce was just v cheap advertising. The few that did get hold of the system at that covered their costs very easily I assume. The need it as well. Spotted in the wild: Majoras mask just £37 preowned in the Northwich store.

No it didnt. They were selling for £120 at the max in the uk shortly after game and nintendo sold out. The rest were shill bids or just ended listings. I have a collection of pokemon games worth well over £1.5k and i watched this release as petty scalpers tried to make scraps. I got all of mine on release day with no hassle. They were going for more (around £120-40 MAX) just after release as it appeared that they were really limited. Since then pretty much all retailers have had them in, even tesco who is actively severing their deal with nintendo. They wont increase past £130 in years to come for a number of reasons. 1. The boxes arent sealed. This means you cannot prove it hasnt been played. 2. The console is merely a 2ds shell with no embossed images or designs- only colour. 3. The game is a virtual release which is not exclusive to the bundles. 4. It is an og rehash, this means that the og games and og pokemon gameboys will always be more sought after when the dust settles. I have to laugh at people who buy up things in large amounts assuming they know the market. I am the market and you havent got a clue. These will be worth the same as the omega ruby and alpha sapphire 2ds bundles, probably less in a years time.

ooo wow someones special aren't they? What I said is based off what I saw on ebay being sold on active listing with 3 copies sold with 1 left in stock. No need to get your knickers in a twist mate, I managed to sell my spare one for £150 and another lad here managed to sell his for £180.
