Decided to return mine today after 14 days of trying to fix, then get used to the Grey looking Black level. No issues from Argos so far. No questions just processed the return. Hopefully all will go well....
I admit it looks great in the day time but really washed out blacks during low light usage. Having more content on screen is great too when browsing etc but I watch a lot of TV on my TV. (lol) so really need a decent black level.
Need to find a replacement for similar money. I guess I'll have to do more research for the next one.

Bought this today and got it all set up, updated the firmware to the latest (11/03/2016). Put it side by side with my old Sony kdl-40w5500 which was top of the range when I bought it around 8 years ago. Messed about with the settings and calibration on the Philips. Stuck dark Knight blu-ray on my ps4 and it looks terrible. The noise in the picture is horrendous, edges pixilated, motion is choppy. I could go on. As far as I'm concerned the quality is terrible so I'm taking it back. Was a long shot buying something so cheap but thought anything now would be able to replace a TV of my Sony's age... Apparently not.

Got this yesterday as an impulse buy. Yes it's not a smart tv and there isn't much picture processing power so don't expect a miracle picture from TV source. Connect a PC to it and play some youtube 4k content from LG or Samsung and it looks fantastic. Still trying to tweak picture settings to my taste. There is an issue with connected hdmi devices conflicting with Easy Connect setting. TV remote won't work and it's a power off job. So turn it off and use separate remotes.

Update...some stuff looks a bit blurry, but all the new HD stuff looks brilliant so guess it's down to the footage quality. Decided to keep mine...

Took my 55" back, I put some pictures up in the other deal if anyone is interested.
Better off spending this money on a decent 1080p set all day.

Bought this a few months back, returned it the next day. Picture quality was atrocious, particularly when watching Sky TV in High Def. Netflix was slightly better but very juddery. Bought a Samsung instead and picture quality between the two is night and day.

Wow, tempted to get this as I don't want another "Smart" TV, would prefer a 55 or above though.
The review for this isn't that good sadly, 1/5 stars on Argos, but maybe it's the luck of the draw

That's just one review for a TV that was faulty. Hoping the issues are fixed now.

No.
No smart features - which I actually prefer as they are all terrible.
HTPC's for the win.

Got one of these at Xmas when they were more expensive and is a great TV. Just make sure you turn the natural motion setting or the audio sync can be a nightmare.
Opening post
43 inch is also on offer for £295

Rather get 5 years warranty with the Sony than the Phillips jacking in after a few years.
