the point is these aren't Hitachi build quality as they are just vestel units badged as Hitachi.

These are vestel tv's made for Argos and badged Hitachi. If you think this is made/made for/designed by Hitachi then welcome to the great Argos con.

They can't be Hitachi build quality because they stopped making TVs years ago. Like the JVC TVs sold by Currys these are assembled somewhere from the cheapest Chinese components and a 'reputable' brand badge glued on the front.

You don't know what your talking about, Hitachi build quality is excellent and very rarely have issues with them as I was a TV engineer for a while back, yes the picture isn't going to be absolutely perfect, but your not paying £2500 for a oled 4k so for the quality you are getting and the reliability it's a real bargain

But do make sure that it is hdmi 2.0 and not 1.4a or b and it supports h265 decoding at 60fps as if not it won't support Netflix 4k
