Not sure how folk feel about this. The controller can only be used with the Pokken game. Cheapest I could find - £19.99 seems the norm

Get a Pro Controller. works on everything, has a stupidly long battery life and sits nicely in the hand

Nice, I want one. Shame 2 won't work at the same time though, big let down.

You can.....if use a LAN Cable to link two Wii Us, then use the second controller on the second Wii U where the game will run at 60fps, Yay...

Idk not like buying Cube controller that works on GCN and Wii also, just seems a bit useless even if price is decent.

I can't remember any other console in history having as many controller options available to it like the Wii U does!

I know! I find it mind boggling! Choice is always good I guess. I have ordered this for now while I have a think about whether I really want it.
I only have the game pad at the moment and am trying to figure out what controller combos will be best for me. Choice is actually making my brain hurt.

Wouldn't really praise that to be something great. WUPC is the ideal controller for gaming on Wii U, except games that unnecessarily restrict to the GamePad or Wiimote (Mario Party 10, Mario & Sonic 2014).
In the words of Hori's PR: "It's the proper way of playing Pokken Tournament". Don't really see what's the big deal, especially with the lack of a left analogue stick.

Yeah the pro controllers are great, but only the official gamepads and not those cheap ones from eBay!

Damn, really? Don't want my son playing fighting games just yet so it's for me playing solo.

Tried Flubit but it's for Elite members only. Great Flubit has become greedy too.

The WUPC controllers aren't that hard to come by for £22 if you have someone living/middleman in Portugal or Spain as they're pretty affordable there. It's how I got mine.
I'll be using my ever-lasting WUPC controller since I don't really dig the design of the Pokken controller and the lack of analogue stick is a deal breaker for me. The game isn't going to be just a Tekken clone but its own game in that you don't just side-step.

I'm loving the look of this controller. Would love to see it become the official NX controller - with a few small modifications.

The controller itself is quite, uh, bland looking. Just white, basically.
For a Pokkén controller Hori really could have made it Pokémon'd.
EDIT: The home version will be shrunk as it looks like:

Kinda. At the very least it's also playable with retro games that don't require too many buttons.
Do Wii u pro controllers use Bluetooth.. Do they work with other devices such as Amazon fire TV if so?

I'm getting this (I used that amazon £10 off £50 with the actual game), but only out of the novelty value - I can't imagine the game actually feeling better with it (then again, it's what they opted with for the arcade). Weird that they didn't feature this in today's Nintendo Direct broadcast even if we probably know everything by now.
Re controllers: I really hate all the Wii controllers, they all feel so cheap compared to the Gamepad, and what Sony and Microsoft have this generation.

So you're basically paying £50 (unless Amazon reduces the price of the game/controller). I'm hoping Amazon reduces because I've just got £11 left of the Pokken game order and it's paid off.

The controller looks retro, simple, weird and unique. I like it as it happens from a visual perspective.
Did not know about the limitations that others have posted, shocking really. Am not against single game controllers, got the paintbrush one for Epic Mickey 2 and it can add to the game if done right.
HEAT for the price

- Leftover Amazon credit of my £30 + £7 order from Twilight Princess HD Special Edition
- Price difference refund from Minecraft Story Mode Xbox 360
- TopCashBack money to Amazon credit/voucher
Btw, am considering to pre-order the Hori Pokken controller the more I think about it for retro gaming.

The retailer is FNAC - http://www.fnac.pt/Wii-U-Comando-Pro-Acessorio-Consola-Acessorios-Consolas/a625350 but then you would need to know of someone within said country that could buy and send it. I admittedly did offer to do this once but no one was interested.
